Twenty Answers

What was your first CD and when did you get it?
I don't actually remember. Either a random Mariah Carey or Gloria Estefan album, around 1993 or so.
Have you ever chased down an ice cream truck as an adult?
No. I don't know if I've encountered an ice cream truck in the wild as an adult.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
A Study in Procrastination
Describe your perfect sandwich.
Rare roast beef and oven-roasted chicken with muenster, Boston lettuce, Roma tomatoes, white onion, roasted red peppers, cold-packed dill pickles, salt, pepper, olive oil mayonnaise, all on a lightly toasted, thick-sliced marble rye with light caraway.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Poorly, no doubt.
Would you rather be a hobbit or an elf for 24 hours?
A hobbit. Being an elf is only good over long spans of time.
How many slices of pizza are you capable of eating in one sitting?
I have never actually tested my limit on this. I can eat a large pizza in one sitting, I know that much. But I've never thought to eat more than that.
If you inherited or won a million dollars, whats the very first thing you would do with the money?
Eliminate all of my debt.
Who was your first celebrity crush?
I don't recall if I've ever had one.
If you could got back in time 1,000 years, what year would you visit?
Well, to answer the question as phrased, I'd be in 1017. It might be neat to see primeval America at that point in time, so it seems as good as any other year.
If you could start a collection of one kind of item, what would it be?
Precious stones.
If you were offered the position of mayor of your city, would you take it?
No. I have little patience for politics.
What kind of phone was your first cell phone?
Some terrible Nokia that was indestructible. I put that thing through the wash no fewer than three times in college, and it always woke back up.
If you could get away with a crime, would you? If yes, what would it be?
I honestly don't know. I'm tempted to say yes, but I don't think I'd be able to go through with it in the end.
If it were possible, would you live on the moon?
In a heartbeat.
If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?
28. I feel like at that point in time, I was still physically in my prime and mentally mature.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
The ability to teleport myself and a few others over long or short distances. I have a fairly wide social circle, including my family, and I have no way to see everyone even relatively conveniently.
If you were in a witness protection program, what would be your new name and where would you go?
I don't think you get to pick your identity or location, so it'd probably be something bland, like William with a good, old-fashioned Saxon name, like Carter or Smith. I'd probably have to be shipped to somewhere in the Rockies outside of Colorado. I know people most everywhere else.
If money were no object, where in the world would you choose to live?
Finland. Finland is amazing.
Would you like to live to be 200 years old?
Inevitably, I think we all want one more tomorrow, when we get down to it. So yes.
