VMoo - Preferred Windows Client

Download VMoo - Connection Instructions

VMoo, created by Bert Huijben, is a lightweight, MOO focused telnet client. It supports ANSI colors, scrollback support, command history, external edit windows and a host of other features Sindome does not make use of (or are against the rules). For more information about VMoo, including the AD Free version, VMoo Pro, you can visit its homepage at www.vmoo.com.

 

Installation Instructions

  1. After reading these instructions, click on "DOWNLOAD NOW" to get started
  2. Once you click it, a dialog box will pop-up that asks you if you want to save the file or run it from it's location. Choose save the file and click ok.
  3. Then select the location to download the file to and press ok again.
  4. Once the file is downloaded, double-click the icon to start the installer.
  5. From there on out, the installer will guide you.
  6. Once the installer is finished, Run VMoo from the START button

Connection Instructions

  1. Run VMOO and when it opens, you should be looking at the big window with a little window in front of it titled 'Connect'.
  2. Click the 'New World' button.
  3. On the 'Connection' tab of the 'World Properties' window, enter the following: 
    
  Server: moo.sindome.org
  Port: 5555 
  Homepage: http://www.sindome.org
  Login: Your character name
  Password: Your current password
  4. Check 'Enable autologin' only if you don't have a little brother or roomate who'll log on your character.
  5. DO NOT check 'Auto reconnect', as its against the Sindome @rules.
  6. Click the 'Options' tab at the top of the 'World Properties' window.
  8. Check 'Give this moo its own colors' and change the foreground to off-white and the background to black. These are the preferred colors for Sindome.
  9. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom and you'll immediately connect to Sindome.
  10. When you close VMoo or click the X near the upper right corner (but not IN the upper right corner), you'll be prompted to save your world file for Sindome.
