Jimmy Babylon is a media celebrity, stunt man, field correspondent, and live news anchor for New Light Media's Jimmy Babylon Show on NLM channel 69.
Babylon—real name James Garvey—was born August 21st, 2069 to Warren and Elisabeth Garvey in Raft City, Jamaica.
 Early Years
Little is known about the time preceding Babylon's arrival in Withmore City, though anecdotal evidence suggests he worked for a number of years as a deep sea scavenger and saturation diver throughout the Caribbean islands and along the Florida coast before procuring immigrant status. His first few months in the city are scarcely noted, though employment logs show he procured a job with Shinohara Heavy Industries as a professional welder before leaving that job to take on package runs and courier jobs for Acme Inc and Withmore Wholesalers. He then picked up a short-lived job as a janitor for Ambrosia Corporation before inexplicably kick-starting his career with New Light Media.
 Rise To Fame
Babylon grabbed an early piece of the limelight as tabloids sensationalized his constant presence at the side of Juicy Vee Show media celebrity Aurelie Claudelle, christening him the Frenchwoman's newest bobble and on-camera prop during Juicy Vee's prolonged absence from his namesake franchise. Fashionistas decried Claudelle's move of having the fresh-faced, funny Rastafarian on-set as brand-mongering and catering to the unwashed masses even as ratings for the Juicy Vee Show began their first climb in years. Nonetheless, it is Babylon's connection to Claudelle, Juicy Vee, and to the Juicy Vee Show that allowed him unfettered access to millions of viewers as he performed his first live stunt, piquing the interest of New Light Media executives and the public alike as he performed his seminal Naked Paraglider Jump from the roof of NLM Tower.
