Let me break down how TV's work. When you are in a room with an ambient TV (ie most rooms) the TV is only tuned to channel 1. It cannot be changed. That's the main channel. Large stories, news, and other stuff are shown on that channel, but mainly it's just advertisements.
If you have a real TV.. IE: a television, security monitor, or wall screen, you have the ability to CHANGE CHANNELS. turn wall to 500, would change a wall screen to channel 500.
Some of you may notice that when you 'look tv' in a room with an ambient TV you see something like this:
Yet another promotional message. A banner scrolls at the bottom of the screen that reads (500) (78) (666).
This has been changed to something like this:
Yet another promotional message. A banner scrolls at the bottom of the screen that reads 'Check out our programs broadcasting on the following channels: Blake Forrestor Live! (500) The Juicy Vee Show! (78) Death Ball Weekly (666)'
Those numbers are the channels where programs are currently running. They always have been. Only it wasn't all that clear what those numbers were. (I didn't even realize it lolz). So, now it's more descriptive and shows the name of the program playing as well.
Shows mostly repeat over and over, until someone at NLM changes them. However, some of this is done automatically.
Death Ball. It's something I have been working on for awhile, and an Idea that was created by one of our players. The Death Ball show repeats over and over all week long but then, once a week, is automatically updated and changed.
So.. you can watch it, and you can hope your team wins. And you can place bets. Right now, there is not support for placing bets with a bookie, but a PLAYER could take over the roll of bookie and start taking bets (hint fucking hint).
Check out the deathball channel and get into the game. Maybe make some money taking bets?
As we get more shows, we'll have more channels. It's something for you guys to do when you are out, or watch when your having a drink. And if nothing else is going on, it's a good time killer.
