Advanced Makeup Artistry

I'm aware that the cosmetic elements of character presentation are some of the deepest and most finished mechanics in the game, and are not a high priority for updates, but I wanted to throw this idea out there because it could steal wholesale from the cyberware and wig and tattoo code and might be more practical to consider because of that.

This is a related idea to Custom Makeup Messages but a different approach with deeper mechanics.

Makeup objects are very cool and add some great flair (and helpful visual contrasts) to character descriptions, but the boilerplate messaging is really only geared towards a certain type of person and a certain type of character aesthetic. My ideas is to keep all that makeup just as it is now for typical use, but add a new type of object to the game: A makeup artist's kit. This object would be in effect a renamed SkinWriter with a smaller set of targets and a colour selector, that required a much higher skill check than applying typical makeup (something comparable to chrome customization for example) but would allow for temporary tattoo-style fully custom messaging to be applied by the artist to the target (with the same short messaging limits as tattoos).

Additionally with this more expensive and more challenging tool, could be the option of adding a bonus to making this check for workers at locations like Skin Deep, FoxTrot, and Forever Changes, since these places don't currently have a lot of incentive to roleplay on the premises as part of their operation.

This could allow for a whole lot more types of cool customization for both makeup and other types of cosmetic presentations that certainly can be done now with just @nakeds or biomods, but personally and just for me I really like the contrast that some colour adds to descriptions and find it both more memorable and easier to read. Of course, other players might feel differently but with the length limitations of tattoos it seems like it might not be too overwhelming.

+1

Would also like some different options in terms of colors et. all, too.

+1 a previous character of mine used to wear eyeliner and call it his warpaint, would have loved more badass messages for that
