Local Data Networks
Because who doesn't love more wiring?

With the addition of data vaults, I had this idea for the Local Data Network. In short, set up something similar to security networks for data vaults. In a more long form description...

Data vaults could act as the central point for a series of other devices to be connected to them. This could include things like access terminals that allow multiple locations to all have access to the same vault(which might be useful for things like having one in the back room of a bar for employees to modify things, and one in the front for customers to see the list of events), or displays for showing images(thank you @svetlana for the idea!), or potentially wireless connections that allow portable e-notes to connect to a data vault(given they have the right module). This would allow players and factions to create their own data networks, modifying their building to suit the needs of the people there, and offer vulnerabilities in this network for other players to exploit. A junction box might hold connections to a building's cameras, but it might also hold connections to their data vaults.

The above idea might be a bit much to implement, but I hope it gets ideas for making data systems multi-part, with networks to go with the new vaults. If none of the above could be implemented, I'd still like to see data vaults themselves as something players can purchase and install.

So I have some thoughts along this vein but not in the way of data vaults sharing information with each other. These are in essence e-notes, with a physical e-memory in them. In theory, data can be shared, but we need to think long and hard on how to implement that smartly.

If you have any ideas on that that would be cool!

Something I have been (unofficially and in my mind and without yet talking to the rest of staff in depth) toying with is the idea of having these data vaults connected to other systems we tend to use.

Another idea I have is to have some data vaults get auto populated with random data.

All of these ideas are me throwing them as part of my own brainstorming and not approved yet.

It would be cool if, in what ever form this might eventually manifest, it leads to the ability of grid jockeys being able to potentially hack into data vaults of various groups. Perhaps this could eventually lead to the expansion of more decking positions widely available in different companies to maintain security over said data vaults too?
