Money

First, watch and listen to this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8P80A8vy9I

Now, let's talk about money.

I am a bit tired of seeing people doing and expecting things to be done for free.

Money is fuel. Money greases, softens, hardens. I want to see more people using it. I'm not saying it's NOT being done, but I want MORE. Or trade it for favors.

Some ideas about things I've noticed:

-Ask your barman to bring you drinks to your bar table. Always tip for drinks.

-Tip strippers. TIP STRIPPERS. DO IT.

-You want WCS to take a corpse or graffiti off your shop? Pay.

-You're TERRA and you have intel on the whore's murder? Sell it, don't give it away.

-Install cameras? Ka-ching.

-Uninstall cameras? Ka-ching.

-Appraise objects for someone else? K-C.

-Bring a fuel can to a dumb bimbo corpie who ran dry on the street? Charge triple.

-Tattoos? Dying clothes? Engraving blades? Money money money.

-And I'm not even talking about tipping your chrome doc or medic ffs. That should go without saying.

Stick to theme. The Chyen Must Flow. It's way more fun when you're not stingy. I've seen some GM alts (and some PCs) do an amazing job out of it -- time for the non GM players to step up the ante!

I'll close with something that hits close to home:

Have fun!

A "tip" command would be nice instead of using the pay command. Just a thought.

I agree though, spend and spread that chyen!!!

Want to know why that person keeps getting service your character isn't, and people always seem to have time to do things for them? They fucking make it rain.

Remember the style over substance part of the theme. You can tip the cabbie, or buy dinner? Pay the cabbie, and work out how to get someone else to buy your dinner.

I definitely agree with all of this, seems like it could make whatever rp you're doing a lot more fun. Plus, if you ever find yourself;f running low on money, maybe your character has a certain skill he can use to "acquire" money from other players, if ya know what I mean ;)

Also,

I agree with this. My characters have always made it rain. It's important. You don't become powerful without greasing the hands of the folks that put you in power. There was a point when I was very active as a player that I couldn't go five minutes without someone calling me with paydata because I would pay them for it, or make it worth their while in some other way with gear or paydata of their own. People WANT to have this kind of RP, but they also WANT to be rewarded, and the best way to reward someone is to pay them.
Firstly, Madonna is a Hustler, Princess, Diva...

And also, how is this even an issue? Players should be demanding tips, or something, in exchange for their services anyway. You gotta eat as much as that customer needs to watch you shake your arse on the dance pole...

If you're say, a private detective, and need/get information from a source you want that informative person to work with you in the future...

"Thanks for the dirt chummer, heres your cut..." exchanges a handful of chyen into the urchin's pocket, who nods then slips unnoticed into the alleyway.

But then again, maybe you're not seeing everything thats going down?

I want ripperdocs to add on fees.

- good surgeon fees

- hygiene fees

- location fees

- charge for the knockout gas!

Ahem.

I like that Johnny.
"Knockout gas" but doc it's free!

Ohh, I had forgotten about that Huo's Shack short story! I should put it on the website.

There we go.
