Armored convoys travel through the Badlands, while superheavy spacecraft depart for deep space from the Neo Trans Shuttleport.
Three foreign megacorporations dominate Withmore's consumer vehicle market: HondaMitsu, MazdaSubaru, and ToyoGM. Commercial, industrial, and military markets also draw competition from local megacorporations such as Planetary Resources Incorporated.
Ground transport ranges from cars, trucks, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles to armored personnel carriers and mech walkers. Smaller unpowered conveyances include skateboards, wheelchairs, and hand trucks. HondaMitsu's Cricket is an example of an off-road motorcycle, with long suspension arms, a raised engine, and protective steel and polymer construction.
Express tubes connect the city's tiers for ground vehicles. Built primarily from plasteel and high-tensile stainless steel, these tunnels spiral steeply between levels. Pedestrian traffic is forbidden.
