Nito-Kodak Optical Designs (NK) is a mega-corporation specializing in optical and digital technologies. History

Nito-Kodak emerged during the Age of Mergers in March 2008, when Eastman Kodak merged with the smaller bio-optical research company Nito Research Ltd. Nito entered the merger under financial pressure, with thirty-nine patent applications awaiting approval.

Thirteen of those patents were approved the following day, and the remainder within two weeks. The speed of the approvals prompted affiliates of Trans-Global Media to allege corruption at the United States patent office.

Products and Technology

NK's consumer products bring its imaging and holographic technology into homes, offices, and everyday photography. Its specialist work extends into cyberware, particularly vision enhancement and ocular implants.

Presence in Withmore

Nito-Kodak maintains offices around the world, including a presence in Withmore City. It does not have its own building in central Gold Sector. Instead, its offices occupy the seventh floor of the Saedor-Krupp tower, alongside a smaller office in Planetary Outlets on Skywatch Lane.

The tower facility includes software development, lens refinement, and ocular implant development departments. Nito-Kodak cybernetics are also displayed alongside Saedor-Krupp products in the tower's professional services showroom.
