NeoTrans Stratospheric Services (NEO), commonly known as NeoTrans, is a megacorporation known for commercial passenger and freight shuttle services worldwide. Its operations extend beyond Earth into orbital passenger transport and commercial space infrastructure.
NeoTrans connects terrestrial travel with access to orbit. In Withmore City, the Neo Trans Shuttleport serves as a departure point for international and space travel, including passenger shuttle service to FreeSky Orbital Station.
The spaceport's ticketing counters, departure gates, and security checkpoints support its passenger operations. Travelers can also find Cafe Bizou and rental lockers within the facility. Maintenance facilities and a spaceship parts business support the aircraft and orbital transports passing through the port.
Freight is another central part of NeoTrans' business. Its branded cargo containers use plasteel construction and impact-absorbing padding to protect shipments during handling and transport.
The NeoTrans name appears on equipment associated with its transport operations, including cargo crates, flight suits, and security flak-jackets. Its flight suits combine synthetic cotton with stretch panels and fitted equipment loops, while its security jackets feature ballistic Kevlar and protective polymer padding beneath prominent corporate markings.
These uniforms and freight containers make the corporation's presence visible throughout its passenger, cargo, and security operations.
NeoTrans' involvement in commercial spaceflight stretches back to the early twenty-first century. In April 2023, the collapse of funding for the Seraph Project stranded fifteen astronauts in high Earth orbit. NeoTrans and Skywatch volunteered for a joint rescue mission, returning all fifteen safely.
In November 2027, NeoTrans purchased the Seraph space station from its government and corporate owners and converted it into the first commercial orbital space platform. The corporation's ownership and operation of the surviving Seraph assets established a lasting role in orbital commerce.
NeoTrans began frequent orbital flights to FreeSky in January 2095. In July 2101, an explosion and massive decompression aboard the station killed roughly five thousand inhabitants. Falling wreckage damaged both Withmore's dome and the NeoTrans spaceport, making the disaster a major event in the history of the city's connection to orbit.
