I don't expect anyone to reply or care, I just want to say this:

I really really hate it when people sign on, start some good RP and then quick run off and sign off before they can get their hands cut off. Really irks me. Especially knowing that this person I have only seen this one time and will probably never ever see again, so all hope of this great and wonderful RP just went *poof*

Well, real life comes first, but I have seen this happen more then once, and I have known the character IRL. So i call them to be sure everything is alright and they just didnt want to die. And I agree with Lillith on it, yes it sucks, but there's nothing we can do about it.

Real SDer's know that Real Life comes second! If your house is on fire, you run in and make sure your character is safe in his cube! If the FBI are about to arrest you, you log in and let the admin's know to move your char to the $void! If your girl is begging you to log of for nookie, you tell her to make a character for MOOsex!

It is frustrating, and some players are prone to it more than others. One of the quirks of the game world.

I have to agree with Iga on this.  My house -was- on fire, and not only did I run back inside to ask to be put in the void, I also carefully un hooked my computer and carried it out covered in my jacket into the 40 degree April 1st rain.

I like to call it commitment!
