Red Sector Bar and Club Entrance Fees
PC usage based on entrance fee?

In Red, most bars and clubs have an entrance fee. The last I checked those fees vary. One of the clubs or bars has no entry fee at all.

In my own personal experience these uneven fees impacts how often PCs frequent different bars and clubs. I bet that if you tracked how many PCs enter each bar or club every day, the one with no fee would have far more visits than the others. I suspect you would also see that bars and clubs with lower fees get more PC traffic than those with higher fees.

Again, I don't know any of this for certain but my own limited experience supports it. I've even had a PC say that they go to club A more than club b because club b cost 5 chyen more to enter. I doubt they are alone as I also tend to pick the cheapest club unless I have good reason to go to a more expensive one.

Maybe this is intentional and staff wants specific clubs or bars to get more traffic than others when not run by a player. Maybe staff simply didn't realize that players would let even 5 chyen influence their choice of bar or club. If this was an oversight, I'd suggest making it so all bars and clubs that are not leased have the same fee so that the incentive to visit one club or bar over another lies more on the players.

I think an important question to also ask is do these fees apply anywhere but Red?
Why are mixers charged to enter dive bars but they can go to a corporate bar for free?
I've heard there are indeed reasons for the fees, but not specifically to deter traffic, although that definitely does happen.

I see much less foot traffic in bars with vs without and it leads me to feel like it simply weights most bars one way or the other unless there's some sort of event happening, or if there's already some nexus of player activity there today.
