So many kinds of bugs to chose from

When you go to @bug it asks you various questions, most specifically what kind of bug is it and how important it is.

Could someone please tell me what all of the types stand for. I tend to never know where to put things and just lump them under generic. And I rarely ever know the importance so I generally put low or medium.

It would be helpful to have examples of what the various types are and what would fit the various levels of importance.

Thanks

Is this a bug you don't mind other players viewing. Enter 'yes' if you want to keep it hush-hush.

Select the bug type:
[1 ] Spelling
[2 ] Combat
[3 ] Money
[4 ] Web / BBS
[5 ] Job System
[6 ] Theme
[7 ] Text / ANSI
[8 ] Generic
[Type a number between 1 and 8 or `@abort' to abort the command.]

Most of these are pretty obvious I would think. If you got a bug at the bank … its money. If the problem lies in the website or the QTs or the bitch board, it's #4. Theme deals with bug you think you've found in the basic concepts of the game themselves. Text/ANSI deals with problems with color or anomalies when things display.

Select the severity:
[1 ] critical
[2 ] high
[3 ] medium
[4 ] low
[5 ] design
[6 ] request
[Type a number between 1 and 6 or `@abort' to abort the command.]

critical - a bug that prevents you from being able to do something.
high - a bug that makes it difficult to do something
medium - a bug that makes it annoying to do something.
low - a minor bug
design - a question about the design of something
request- a request to change how something works.

Nads.

I didn't report this but feel I should now, I found a bug in the market on red, near the drome - after lots of "browse" a chunk of the clinet black background went blue - with code errors - liek highlighted code i shoudln't see  - it was a loop problem i think - i can't remember but it looked very bad - its not ad but it is very obtrusive so might scare some, it was a call mismatch or something hmm, thats it. Oh maybe its me noticing more, or cuased by changes to game descriptions but there are a lot of typos - i reported some - they basically occur in room descriptions - the stations - the streets on red (i've been there most) hmm 2 posts so far yeh :)
Those 'blue screens' are called tracebacks, when you see one of those and you don't know if its been reported or being addressed, type @autobug to file a bug report.
Hmmm… Rather too much like the dreaded blue screen of death for me... And with my computer I see that a lot.
Hi Raphamon, State your previous name at Sindome and Your real First name, and I'll know if its you.
So Kevlar doesn't make me remove this post I'll type something "usefull" as well, Here goes;

Whats the logic, or more accuratly lack of, that causes those trace backs, It did seem to be displaying code from interations of my previous browsing, and not likeing what it was displaying, if thats whats meant by trace backs. Rastus you code a loy right, and coded a lot of sindome, well feel free to coment. ;)

Hoyeah ^_^ (the best smile on the net)

This will always be fuffy bunny land, and I will always be a hardcore fullfy bunny -  Don't let Finn tell you otherwise :)  (maybe hardcore and bunny shoudln't be in the same sentance - yikes I'll stop - kev won't be happy)

Yeah Wanseya. I was called MercyBlowz 'til Finn said otherwise. Huh. My first name is Phil and I'm betting I'm who you think I am. How thrilling.
quality Raph, Oh andybody want to explain trace backs just for the sack of it. Oh and at the end of the weekend lots of my sites will be up, I'll be making a post on a sindoem fan site I'm creating as well, as part of my game site. Hmm that was rather spamy, but I woudl liek to know the logic behind trace backs. :)
Traceback = unhandled problem with a program

This is similar to when some program on your computer crashes, only in the game, the things you 'do' are the programs that are 'run' when you type a command.

So the 'blue screen' in Sindome is exactly equivalent to the 'blue screen' in Windows, just we don't crash the whole game like they do your PC.
