The space you stand in is a massive dome, the ceiling so high up it is obscured in utter darkness. The large space has a vaguely colosseum shape to it, a loose oval that at times feels over a half mile wide. The stage hovers over 50 feet in the air, wires, cables, and electronic lighting dangling from it's underbelly. The space looks like it could hold hundreds of thousands of people comfortably, even though only a fraction of that is in use. Figures flicker and phase in and out in the stands, occasionally holding cohesion long enough to be recognized as the ghosts from events long past. A member of Baby-Smashers here, Lucifer there, and any number of the faceless masses that surround you on a daily basis. Suspended from above is a massive holographic display, that has the words 'LOOK AT THE SIGN' scrolling across it over and over.

You never have to reveal your real player name, and if you do, thats your own choice. Its an option people can have to help with the OOC/IC crossover that everyone is afraid of. Also, the ability to join/unjoin the channel. For those that wish to talk, and those that don't. As I said before… OOC talk will ALWAYS happen, and if that contains IC info or not we don't know. But if there is an OOC open chat that anyone can join or logoff as they want... then that helps build community. And it also gives a regulated space for such conversation."

Once particular instance with a past char was the third time I'd been robbed by the same ganger, no RP, just rob, leave. Me stuck with no cash. I asked over xhelp what the heck was going on, and said that it was wrong to just steal and leave... especially for a noob. The admin was the exact opposite of what we want, insultive, arguementative, and basically told me 'Deal with it, its the game. So goto hell.' -That- pushed me over the line and I lost my cool. I said a lot of things I wasn't proud of, and regretted soon afterwards. I have sinced appologized for it... but lost alot of respect for the involved admin because I never recieved an appology. Its little stuff like that that really really turns people off to the game."

If you don't want to be distracted, turn it off. If you are just running packages for Bruce, turn it on, chat a bit, whatever. It -also- helps out newbies alot, knowing people are there even if they aren't -there-. Quick snippets like, what command do i use to check my inventory? Or things like that would be helpful. And also removes some work from the admin."
