Would the prankster who ported my bike into NLM..
Please stand up?

Both ICly and OOCly, finding my bike inside of the NLM program director's office has been pretty darned funny.

ICly, Jimmy's trying to figure out who managed to steal it from Neotrans parking, sneak it either piece by piece or in its entirety past NLM corpsec, lug it up an elevator to the NLM studios, bypass the security measures keeping ordinary folks out of the studios, then pass those studios and get it into the NLM control room program director's office with no one looking, especially Jimmy, who was asleep in said room.  It's generated quite a bit of fun actually as Jimmy has made inquiries all over the place, even pondering whether or not he actually drove the bike through NLM and parked it there himself.

OOCly, I know that the issue was caused by a bug wherein the bike was in a room with the same type of bike with the exact same aliases and wouldn't drive out of there due to nth issues and the drive verb, then ported to my character's current location.

So, three things if possible:

1. Help Jimmy find an IC reason for the bike being there that might actually generate some RP for other players.  He's already caught one character in the same area where the bike was absconded to and that generated quite a bit of RP. :)

2. Either find a way to tie nth into the drive verb, or possibly generate different license plates/aliases for each bike in-game so that issues similar to this one involving motorcycles will be resolved.

3. Please please please port Jimmy's sweet ride back to the street where he can actually drive it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

2CH,

Grim

I thought it was a character who put it there, so I didn't take credit for the prank. Maybe the guy you caught was responsible after all, even if he denies it! :P

I've never been an auto-tech guy - can you break a vehicle down into small enough pieces to be man-portable? That would be hella funny.

Actually, some vehicles. Yes. Wheels, body panels, security systems, transmissions, possibly motors can be removed from automobiles. Bikes, though, are a different beast altogether. They're, I dunno what they are but they kinda work lol.
*Army of mixers walks into a room somewhere armed to the teeth and each carrying a part of a vehicle*

*Head tech guy assembles said vehicle*

*Army of mixers walks out, leaving said assembled vehicle*

You could call it a neo-drive-by. An expensive hobby, but funny as hell.

Walk-in? The opposite of turning something/someone into chinese takeout? Hah. Making sushi. Taking random components and assembling them into something beautiful--even a prank. Making origami?

*Jeez, man dat bitta fucking magic some real origami, scan?*

I dunno lol.
