Death

I've been thinking about it, and I think that unspent UE shouldn't be lost when you die. I mean if you think about it, technically it's not a part of your character yet. What do all of you'se think?
I distinctly remember reading about this more than once on the boards already. Unspent UE when you clone is transfered to that clone. After you update your clone whatever UE you get is obviously not going to be recorded into your clone since, um, you haven't updated your clone.
The UE represents experiences that they learned something from by the -character- during their time in the world. The experiences are remembered and available for future decisions as reference. Thats how an experience works. You touched the stove and got burned (earn 1 UE), so you know in the future that stoves are too hot to touch. If your character dies, and is restored from a clone, they did not have the experience that the UE represents. Thus, UE is restored to the value it was at when you last updated because those experiences were 'saved'.

It's just like saving your PS2 game to the memory card.

Note this only applies when you're restored from your clone record. Corpse cloning just damages your body, not your mind. ;)

jsut curious, johnny, but what would you chalk it up to when UE is put into luck.

Putting UE into luck is increasing your uncanny ability to do the right thing at the right time. I'd interpret it like your character previously had an experience that he/she survived only because of dumb luck (this is the character thinking that - 'I should of died that time!') and because of that acknowledgement, they rely on it a little bit more.

I believe in my personal good luck in real life. Numerous times, I've had good fortune shine on me when I felt I didn't deserve it and was just in the right place at the right time. I acknowledge these moments and mumble a quick thanks to my lucky nature. I feel that if I were to ignore the role my luck plays that it would change and that as long as I recognize it and don't get cocky, I'm doing good.

When I have gotten cocky and thankless, thats when bad luck has hit me and to me, this proves my point.

Believe me or not, I'm sure some of you will think I'm a bit nutty … if you don't already. ;)
