and i'm assumed that there are more wallets, phones, butterfly knives, ammos, pipes, etc then other more sought after items? so the more numerous types- of items will be repeated more often then the one single rare stuffed goat ninja thats for sale?
so i guess reaching the end of the list of avialable itmes would take a long time?
but hey thats just my logical interpretation. say shoosh you if im wrong

Blasphemy I tell you!!!
Just know that it works, thats really all ya need to know. It works.
YES IT WORKS!
You type browse, it says you find an item, you can choose to buy it or not. You don't need to know how it finds your item…
And besides, since when do you reach the end of a busy market like that? Things are constantly being bought and traded, you don't reach the end. The command is 'browse' not 'walk_down_a_line_of_stalls_until_we_reach_the_end'. You browse, walking up and down, looking for interest.
You'd never, ICly, reach the end. You just decide to stop browsing for the day. Thats your choice.
My 3.14 cents.
You browse, walking up and down, looking for interest.
One thing that bothers me about the market though…there are many things I'm *NOT* interested in stopping to look at. It'd be handy if one could block certain items from one's browsing.
Would *YOU* stop and look, fascinated, at a used TruColorz Dildo in a scummy open air market?

hey now… i'm sure there's valid reasons to be fascinated by used dildos... but uhm.. they escape me right now. :)
anyways...
i both love N hate the market.
it's interesting to browse... you can run across some cool items if you stay there long enough and have no life... *cough* on the other hand if you're looking for a specific item... then.. it would be nice to get past the empty bics and dried tulips.
or even.. if you go to the market and find something and realise your 100c short and come back 5 mins later... its reasonable to assume that the item will still be there (unless someone snatched it up) so going back and searching for that item would be nice. :)
hrm.. here's older market threads that go over what i'm babaling about...

and
http://www.sindome.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=7&topic=296
so i'll shoosh now.
and my only reason to be curiouse about the code is it sometimes helps me understand the limitations of the coded RP… kinda like to know where coded RP is forced to stop and fun ol' make it up as you go RP has to take over :) if that makes sense... uhm...
*wanders off back to class*

A glint of silver catches your eye, oh oops, it's only a lighter. You ignore it. It's entirely realistic, and the vendors of course ask you to buy as soon as you glance at or touch something. There's TONS of other shit you're not looking at.
The market roX! More power to it and its coders. I browse for loooooong periods of time.
Looking for something specific that is scarce? Ask one of the big-wigs, or even a NPC if they know where to get it!

Actually, if you leave before browsing for anything else and come back with the money later, you are still doing business with that person and can buy it without searching for it again.
