Improving queued movement

Last MUD I played had this and it was very smooth, would love to see it added here.
Neat idea. I'd like to see this.
Wouldn't that actually be less efficient from the perspective of the parser? Instead of taking one pass over the command, it would have to do multiples.

I only bring this up because there already seem to be some issues with the movement code and move commands getting ignored. Adding more processing load onto an already wonky system seems like a recipe for disaster.

I'm gonna be that guy shaking his cane and say, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.
Something doesn't need to be broken to be improved. Almost nothing in the bug fixes thread getting updated is anything broke-broke getting fixed but I think we all like seeing it and appreciate it. QoL improvements in games tend to be the most well received updates, even over content.
Then allow me to rebut by saying; I don't feel that this is a quality of life improvement.

I personally have no desire to see the adequately-working and -not difficult as it is to use- movement system changed.

Would absolutely love that in! It's in line with many alive and dead moos "quick walking", so yes, yes, please yes :).
I've got some wrist/arm issues and would love this as an add-on to the current move-style if it's not a bear to code.
This would make me get rid of my macro's that I have for common routes.

Which would be a very good thing in my opinion.

I could dig it.
Adding my support for this idea. It would be a lifesaver.
I would support it if it took next to no effort to implement. If it does take some considerable effort, there are more important things to do.
+1. Would be nice!
This makes sense but I think it should be vehicle specific.
I don't see any particular sense in making it for vehicles only. It's not any less immersive than go e e e e e e e e e. It's just less hassle for the player.
