Or something like that.
Also, just cause I feel like talking, I'd like to make the following announcement about poses, since I see little problem in people's poses every now and then. That being said:
if you type:
.point at Person and walk over to Person.
Others will see "Someone points at person and walk over to him."
For it to work right, you need a . before every verb not ending in -ing in your pose so:
.point at Person and .walk over to Person.
Others will see "Someone points at person and walks over to him."
Also, when you want to involve yourself in a pose, don't forget to use I, me, my, myself.
And one more thing. When refering to someone else more than once in your pose, use their name each time, not him or her or his or hers.
As you see in my example from before:
.point at Person and .walk over to Person.
Others will see "Someone points at Person and walks over to him."
And that person will see "Some points at you and walks over to you."
If you followed that…....so, yeah, go pose some stuff now.
just to clarify…
pose is .
emote is :
yesh?
with pose you control the verbs by putting the leetle . in front.
with emote you simply write and take into account how things are going to be seen by others?
*crickets*
hush... we all know i'm slow.
*wanders off*
*wanders back*
oh... speaking of languages, how do you get better at a language and can you learn new ones?

You know what would rock? If you made languages work with complex emotes and poses.
Eg: I type: .nod lightly, smiling, saying "Right on." in Japanese
This idea has been implimented. The code that powers languages has been integrated into 'say', 'to', 'emote', 'pose', 'mumble' and 'whisper' and will be integrated into the gridphones as well at some point. Things will be translated according to your skill in the language as you say them and translated according to your skill when you hear someone else.
The translation code is disabled for the next 30 days to give you all enough time to get better comprehension in a new language. :stoner:
