Let us attach bugs to things and people
The SHI TX-5B beacon ones

I like the idea of bugs and trackers, and I do not even hate how the tracking does work, limited as it is, but I found one major roadblock - there is now way I can find to actually attach it somewhere. The only way to plan a beacon somewhere is to put it into the person or car etc, which is not just not feasible, but also not agreeing with the item description that states that they have a stick side, and magnetic side, exactly for that any-surface attachment.

Notably that also means that no matter what, they cannot be used on bikes or gear, not that just slipping it into inventory of a car or person without option to also conceal it is actually practical at all.

So let us attach them to bikes, cars, weapons, gear and so on, it would actually make them a very fun tool that I can see tons of people using. And that also would make people use debugger more, let the paranoia games begin!

I would also flip the prices around, make trackers and bugs cheap, and debuggers expensive.

Agreed here. I and others have done testing of beacons in the past and they are basically unusable in any effective way as far as we've been able to deduce.
You can plant beacons on things already (plant on SHOULD work unless something changed).

Planting on people is also possible, the problem is that there's no concept of "hidden inventory items", so people can just look at their inventory and see it). Perhaps a way to introduce "hidden" state on inventory items and you'd have to "search me" which is basically patting yourself down to uncover them.

Oh so plant on items does work BUT is not documented on the beacon:

SHI TX-5B beacon (aka SHI TX-5B beacon, SHI, TX-5B, beacon, beacon, shi, tx and tx-5b)
Obvious verbs:
act*ivate tx
deact*ivate tx
gi*ve/ha*nd tx to
hold/use/wield/unwield/sling/sheath/stash/lower tx
tease tx
trash tx
scrut*inize/inspect tx
lift tx

That makes sense, I guess. I never considered plant because A. it isn't in the obvious verbs and B. It would conflict with the dip mechanic for planting items. I feel like it should be a different verb.
yeah, exactly the same thinking here, but sure enough it does work.

Whoops. Meant to edit, not post anew. Sorry
