Loans
Banks Lending Money

So far, I've seen no threads directly mentioning this idea. I think it would be an interesting idea to have the Bank of Withmore offer loans to people for those who need chyen. But, the setting being what it is, I'd think it should offer aggressive interest on the loans, making it difficult to get a one without another means of income. Making it a risky thing to do, but possibly neccessary if you're in a bind, like you desperately need a clone, pay rent or pay a fine. I can't seem to find it on the forums, but it seems this idea hasn't been brought up yet, surprisingly.
One can always get a loan from a PC, rather than an NPC that would require admin effort (especially if you don't pay back)

Besides, I know of at least one NPC loaner in game already, ask around I guess :)

I'd love to see something like this too. Players could already do it, but from my experience, any sort of loaning business is a risky one. It would lead up to so much RP though, from having to nag people or even break some knees and collect on them.
There's already an NPC that does this.

For a while I struggled with the intricacies of the economic situation that is Sindome, but I eventually learned how to flow in the mix, and if there's an OOC tip I can give you with regards to 'getting it', it's study economics. When you understand economics, and you look at the gargantuan diversity of items in the game, you understand that having an NPC to accomplish given task X isn't always the best solution.

I've come to understand the value of the passive approach where you make tools for creation instead of creations. Sindome is filled with a countless number of them and it's these enabling forces that give rise to archetypes like the muscle, the fixer, and the loan shark, rather then hard coding their paths into the game.

My point is if there's a lack of people loaning you shit, it's because you've not asked enough people to talk to their loan shark. If I wanted a loan, chances are real good I'm going to like the terms I can get from my buddy more than what some heartless code will give me, and I'm kind of at the point where I feel like people are asking for the devil to appear when they ask for things to be coded because they don't know anyone who's filling that role already, and they so frequently don't understand the full ramifications of what they are asking for.

Bump.

A feature for the Loaner to credit the Loanee for services rendered beyond simple chyen repayment would be great. Maybe even a comment section to put the totally legal and good natures way this occurred.
