I think all ground vehicles should be affected by traffic, including motorcycles. The only difference being, I think it should be significantly less but still there. Like, traffic affects motorcycles 75% less or something.

If the tubes are extremely packed, how can a motorcycle go full speed across the tubes without slowing down? I don't think that makes much sense.

Being completely free of traffic should be something limited to aeros.

Ground vehicles have it hard enough as is. You're not safe on a bike so it's already perfectly balanced compared to other vehicles. The meta of having an aero is also getting tiresome because it's the same skill investment and you're able to bypass all traffic, and be safe, and they're not so expensive that the cost is prohibitive.

Leave bikes alone.

i think it's compelling. motorcycles are cheaper, and cost less in gas. it would give a reason to take levs since they're much faster now.

alternative pitch: all vehicles should get a skill check to negate traffic. motorcycles get a bonus.

but while we're here, I must insist, aero's get traffic too. there's lotsa aero's. it's a big dome, lotsa people. tubes get packed, but surely air traffic control has its own problems.

No, just no. Literally the reason to have a bike. Id rather there be no traffic at all then making a bike experience traffic. Honestly Id just quit playing over this.

Some of the many downsides of bikes:
-You aren't safe from attacks on a bike
-You can't keep your possessions in there
-You can't log out as "safely" on a bike (obviously no vehicle is an unbreakable fortress)
-You can't have (mostly) private conversations on a bike
-You can't carry things in both hands while on a bike

Upsides of bikes:
-Some bikes are cheaper
-No traffic

There would be no reason to buy bikes if bikes got stuck in traffic.
