Allow for existing businesses to connect their shelves/tables/etc, their product displays, to a grid based online store which is supported by runners. The idea being that Player A can connect to the Grid, see that Perky Pizzas has a Box of Pepperoni Pizza for sale and place an order for that item.

Then, that pizza is automatically delivered to the Delivery Center. Player B who is running crates picks up a crate containing the pizza from the place and deliver it to a mail box storage device, in the lobby of the apartment where Player B lives.

The catch? In order to place deliveries, or to collect these online sales, you need to link a bank card to your ordering device, which can be vulnerable to deckers if they can manage to get the right scans. Player B still gets their payment, but if Player B decides NOT to run the delivery, it still happens, just belatedly.

The benefit being that the stock of products available is connected to the grid, so it's much easier to see what products are available and at what price.

But it still comes with risk. Any money you place on your bank card is at risk of deckers, your delivery is vulnerable to being jumped, or someone can break into the package storage in your apartment, or if you're ordering things regularly, that repetition becomes valuable paydata to those who might wanna stake you out and kidnap you.

I like this idea, but not so much the 'opening your entire bank account to being drained' part. A compromise could potentially be something like deckers hacking a user's account to skim a little bit of the transaction for themselves.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Like, loading a bank card as though it were a prepaid debit card. But skimming is a nice touch to the concept.

Cred chips don't work like that, though. They have access to your entire bank account. Unless you mean the disposable ones you load up a set amount on at the bank.

If that were a thing, though, I kind of doubt anyone would use it. Why use the convenient but riskier Grid app when you can just go "hiring runner" on SIC.
