Pain/Suffering/Healing
Automated @idea from in-game

@idea from McClure

I know this has been discussed before, but I cant find the posts regarding it. I think the healing rate is just a bit too quick. I (damn raw telnet). I know this wont exactly be popular, but I think there should be a difference i n the healing rates if you have, or have not recieved medical attention. Go to a Doc (there are a few in the game now and there is always Doc Jones) and you heal faster. If you don't it takes, I don't know, what's the line between playability and reality, say 3 days to revover from the worst injury you can have (without bleeding out if unattended). If you see a doc, then (assuming you got some treatment) healed within 24 hours? And it doesn't have to be a 'Doc' anyone who can stabilize you would count as being able to 'treat' you, or maybe they should have medical as a skill. Just opening up the floor for thoughts.

(damn raw telnet)

Shush. That's what I've used for RPing and the occasional MUD for years (As well as other purposes). Nothing wrong with it.

Heh...I've had nothing but problems with telnet.  Of course I'm not some keyboard expert...so I'll just stick to my good old VMOO.

We know. We discussed this once, and the decision was to make it EVEN SLOWER (yes, we've slowed it before).

But the problem we ran into is because of the design (it's really really old) we couldn't reduce it any further than what it presently is without a redesign.

So we reduced it to as slow as it can go... and anything else will require a redesign.

In otherwords: It's on the list.

I don't believe you.  I want to see this list.  Is there actaully a list or do you just say that to shut us up?

There's really a list.

We presently have 256 OPEN items on it, the last open item # being 722. The oldest open item is #304, submitted Febuary 2002. Of course it's not a 'first in first out' list, so that's not really a good judge of where we are on the list.

As the list does contain information about places and workings of things, I can't relelase the contents of it. But there really is one.
