Scanning other people out at SHI

You grab Kain by the arm, pull him over to the scanner and scan him out. For those people with stupid conections, you type scanout <name> and if the person has been idling for so long (long enough that the boss has yelled at them) you scan that person out, so they don't lose their hard earned chyen when the boss throws them out.
I've seen it happen to more people than just Kain, but he's just an example.

Yes, except for in Sindome, if this were an option it'd be more like….

Mike drags Bob's unconscious form to the scanner, picking him up slightly to rest his hand on the scanner.  Mike quickly drops Bob in his rush to grab the chyen shooting out of the machine.

Went you get disconnected and you slump you get your money, I'm talking about when you get disconnected but are still "awake".
Or, atleast make it so you don't lose all your money you would have gotten.  Just lose what you would have gotten from when you last worked until you get thrown out.  That way, if you work for an hour and then get disconnected or go afk and can't get back before you get thrown out, you don't lose a whole hours work.  It's hard and boring and annoying enough to try to earn a living at SHI without losing an hour of your earned money.
Your not suposed to work at SHI for a living. It's minimum wage and minimum fun for a reason: There's better jobs out there that you have to RP to find.

SHI requires no RP at all. It is therefore not a priority to enhance your experience there when we have so many other jobs in the game that do require our efforts.

I'm sure it would be nice if you could do that, but it's not something we want you to be able to do at this time. Consider it incentive to find other work.

I am getting other work, but being extremely poor limits me from doing so very easily in this case, so SHI is all I have right now to springboard myself into something better.
You said: "…so SHI is all I have right now..."

No it's not. But that's an IC discussion so we won't go there.

-Kevlar

Yeah.  Look at my dumb ass finally starting my own business (well, if you want to call it a business…)!  But hey, it gets money in, and it motivates RP.  :)
I'm trying to start my own business, but mine takes a rather large investment, which I just don't have right now.
Heh - welcome to life in the Dome.

Always something you don't have, and want.

Always something more.

Never a way (or so it seems) to get it.

I want a bazooka, can I have?
For some reason, I believe the answer to that question to be…..no.  I doubt the admin are ready to start throwing around weapons of extremely mass destruction....besides, if they did, I'd be first in line.

John Boy pulls his bazooka out of nowhere, resting it on his shoulder.  A grin comes to his face as he pulls the trigger and the Halls of Justice crumble from the power of the blast.

Yeah....that'd be fun.

Technically, a bazooka is the M9A1 rocket launcher, deployed in 1944. The 3.5 pound rocket's warhead was about 8 ounces of pentolite, which can penetrate 'bout 5 inches of armour (rolled steel, AFAIK). That said, you could barely dent a cruiser with one, as I figure 2088 vehicles use something more sophisticated than a panzer unit, let alone crumble building.

Okay, so no more World War II documentaries for me.

*cough*
