Ok, I'm trying my damnedness to get timmy into school, but low and behold, there isn't one…

What the Dome could really use is teachers, or a tutor or something, so -maybe- just maybe for one the newer chars out there that haven't done their history yet, and you think it's a good char you could clear it up with admin!?

Oh yeah, here's my idea...kinda like a UE system? 1 UE/week of learning? 1UE on test day?

Of course the UE would have to be handed out to you by admin, but the teachers could give.....report cards? that could turn into the admin as proof that you were there? or passed or what ever.

That is -if- the admin don't hate the idea to begin with:)

The city has plenty of schools. It's just that the bad ass people that our players represent have no use for it.

There has been discussion about a college on Green…I would assume that in 2087, because of the space issue, Withmore would implement a different way of schooling. Perhaps video classes, direct to your home from the teacher. Timmy would sit in the apartment (if it was on Green) and gaze at the glorious television. Perhaps you'd subscribe to it...

But what's the Ratio of people that can actually afford to pay for college as opposed to those who can't?

But I guess in a city with 60.3 million people in it, space would be an issue reguardless.  

I still like my tutor idea though, It just gives you an option of -not- being a drug dealer, pimp, arms runner. The Player population as enough of those:) A tutor doesn't sound -as- exciting as one of the above, but that's the same thing I thought when I started being a reporter…..and it's fun! Doesn't hurt that I don't have a life and sit on SD all day, but hey!

If you go to my 'job ideas' on some other post somewhere there is the suggestion for the 'trade' system, as in i know a trade (blacksmithing, etc) and I teach my apprentice. That'd be similar. If you want to so far to make it an advantage. THat of course would be much later when the advantage system comes out.

Stonemonk is right…  A college on green would be a good idea, but the chummers and chumettes of 2087 would find a better way to do it.  I'm suprised that nobody's said it yet, but... MATRIX.  If you could tap into the matrix from wherever with your meat-space toy, maybe have it raise your int or auto tech or whatever a little bit, depending on what class you take, that'd be totally sweet.  Along with the idea is paying.  People would have to pay to take these classes, and so would not be getting a head up on people that assign ue the old-fashioned way.  I see how you could be pretty divided on this though.
