That's really the entire idea, keep all the requirements as is, but scale down the time commitment and price for leases/u-vend rentals to 3-4 months instead of a year.

I do not have the data on how many people manage to complete a lease/rental, just what I observed in my time here, and that seems to have a near 0% completion rate as is, and extremely high barrier to entry. It still would be pretty high to prevent haphazard jumping into it, but also give people flexibility to try things out more freely.

Could also come with easier renewal, where it's assumed you will continue and your bank gets drained accordingly unless you RP to break the lease/rental.

I think it would help a lot.

I think shorter leases for lowered prices and higher rate of return would encourage people to take more risks with their money and have more of an active investment, or the chance to get out when they feel like they want to either move on or pass the business on. It also means that you don't feel as bad when you do end up having to take time IRL and can naturally allow the business to fold into someone else running it, with the potential to pick it back up down the line without having to wait actual, literal years.
