Suit Cases

I thought it would be interesting if select items which currently are not allowed to fit into suitcases are coded to fit into them.

For instance:

1. Cell Phones
2. Cred Chips
3. Small Pistols and Knives.
4. Medical slap patches (not medkits).
5. E-Notes.

Generally, small, slim items should be capable of being stowed in the cases.  Perhaps the weight and length attributes of items can be used to set the maximum size of any item or group of items fitting into a case, so we don't deal with similar issues to the chests that were so often exploited.

Biz cards, photographs, chyen, and drugs are all great, but it would be interesting to see one chummer trading a single cell phone in a black locking briefcase, in exchange for a cred chip locked away in an equally sleek, black, locking briefcase from some other chummer.

2 Ch,

Grim

and while you're fixing the briefcases, it would be sweet if they werent so freakin difficult to use. took me ten minutes of standing in front of my customer before i figured out how to pull the c-notes out of it to hand to her. geez…

'l briefcase
You see a wad of chyen in the briefcase
get chyen from briefcase
What do you want to get from the briefcase?'

AAAAArrgh!!

ok, so it was my first use of the thing, but still. verbs should be written so they're easy to understand. i just think that one needs a little help.

gimme a coder bit and i'll see if i can fix it :D

I thought that's what the problem was with similar objects in the past… not enough things have size/weight/length attributes set, or the code wasn't in place to add them all up and work out how heavy a bunch of stuff was?

...meanwhile, re: coding: that's the same syntax as getting chyen from a wallet etc, so it makes sense. exam is a great verb.

Ah, so.  I didn't know that, Chienne.  Thanks for pointing that out. ;-)
yeah, i did the examine briefcase thing. still wasnt very clear. and no help on it. i finally figured it out, but neither i nor my char carry a wallet, so i didnt figure it out quickly.
It'd definetly be nice if suitcases could hold more stuff…regarding user friendliness: meh. It really isn't that bad...granted, its nice to have everything be simple and easy...but SD's learning curve is definetly nice. Perhaps an "error" check to assist in someone having trouble is in order...they exist with alot of local verbs. I can't remember if a suitcase has one though.
