That's what I'm talking about.
Say your %t's coverage is chest, back, shoulders, and abdomen (having uncovered your arms cause the sleeves are rolled up)
You change the @worn message accordingly so you have
%N is wearing a tight t-shirt, it's long sleeves rolled up to %p elbows.
Now you throw on a trench which covers your back, shoulders and arms.
Your description would show that your shirts sleeves are rolled up because the shirt covers the chest, which the trench does not, allowing that @worn to be shown in addition to the one for the trench.
See what I mean? Your arms are in the sleeves of a trenchcoat but you can still see that your t-shirts sleeves are rolled up
I'd be interested in what kind of effect this would have on tailoring. My knowledge of the system is null, so if anyone would be willing to elaborate on the possibilites of this system working with the tailor system it'd be appreciated.
I'm thinking a more advanced clothing system would be needed with @coverage linking to actual individual @worn messages for clothing sections, which would actually create a rather structured method of describing parts of clothing so that it would not become confusing or just plain nonsensical. That might inhibit styling for the tailors. It would probably require vetting by admin to ensure that clothing was described properly. It might also create more than 22 locations...maybe 45-50 at a guess. Complicated, and I'd have to say, kinda groovy, but mebbe a coding headache. All the Bits would have a far better grasp on difficulty level and coding stuff naturally.
Next someone will be asking where are the pockets?

That would put an end to keeping twelve clips, two guns, a sledgehammer, two carbon pipes, six hatchets, a six pack of lager, three medpacks and a cricket bat in your pockets!!Yeah bottomless pockets syndrome-not a fan
Hey! That looks like my inventory!
Or, certain things, like brand name clothing, that is locked so you can't change the @coverage and @worn messages, with out a tailor, could have a verb, that changed the coverage for you, like a 'roll sleves on trench', that just appened the @worn message to "blah blah blah, trench coat, blah blah blah, its sleeves are rolled up." and then moddified the @coverage to show your forearms.
So you could have roll sleves on trench, unbutton trench, button trench, etc. The appeneded messages could be generic, and work with multiple articles of clothing. Like shirts, and jackets/trenchs could have the same message if its rolled up, or unbottoned etc.
