The grid 'search' function is not working. It returns a Internal Server error screen, (OOCly).
And..
If you click on 'activity' it shows the list of the recent stuff all fine, but it also attaches the name/object number of the person that registered/edited the name/node last.. like..

The grid login is case sensitive, but if you miss one capitalization it will let you in, but only read stuff, not edit nor anything else.

I just figured out my problem. If anyone else uses AOL, and gets a 404, log into the site with AOL and IE. Should work.

"search" for nodes still doesn't work. Is there anyway we could get a "My nodes" button or something, possibly even an "all nodes" list? I'm not sure if there's any way to access nodes at this time other than the "activity" section.

I think I figured out why all these 404's have been popping up 'randomly'.
As a 404 is a page cannot be found error, I experimented with it and found that the error in fact is the lack of the grid OOC error page. That one when there's no signal or when you try to access the grid without a terminal.
Once I got signal it stopped giving me a 404, lost signal it came back.

Grid-Master-Control doesn't work.
Not like it matters since node editing isn't back in but just something I noticed. When you hit it it gives you this…

The above error is happening to alot of people all over the MOO. Just happened to me when I tried to log into the grid. Its happened to me before as well, but It worked again later, so I didn't think anything of it. But.. its annoying as hell and seems to be popping up even more often now. I personalyl have no idea what the hell is wrong with it.. maybe one of you more code-friendly admin types can help?

Yes, I second Chaos. This bug seems to manifest itself in various ways…
For one thing, it happens as a server error on just when trying to log in a player on the front page. Then, after that, it can happen when clicking the link to access the grid. The error that comes up is the IC error page from NLM sometimes, and others just a white page with a standard 'internal server error' thing.
The NLM error will also pop up in the middle of using the grid, but will tend to disappear if you go back and then try again (you don't have to log-in again).
I don't remember this happening before this frequently so maybe it's because of some recent changes?

I would laugh if they were using a QT and lost signal…... You need a signal from SIC to use a QT. Sucks when there is an outage... that's what StreetTerms are for.
If that's not the case, then I just sounded like a fool for thinking I had an idea of what was going on, either way, fuck it. :stoner:

I'm having several problems with the grid. First of all whenever I go to my personal node, there is no edit button. I know it was not hacked because it has been like this since the start, and I even registered another account and didn't get the button to customize the node.
Also whenever I do a search for nodes that returns 1 result the result is not shown and hotlinked like it's supposed to be. It's inaccessible.

The one search return bug has definetly been @bug'd…why it hasn't been fixed...I'm not sure. The edit feature has to do with IC issues, methinks. Then again, I'm not exactly well-versed in such things and I could be wrong...

The 'search' box on the QT searches either the grid or the community forums, depending on whether your currently on a grid node or a forum node. I identified and fixed a bad issue with searching the forum, but I've not seen a problem with searching grid nodes.
No word on the edit button thing. ;)

I can't send gridmail either. It's giving me the generic user unknown message. Even if I click to reply to an old message, or the message button in a post.
:( This makes me very sad.
Is anyone else having these problems?
Edit: Now it's working fine :\
