[2023] MOO Cleanup Day
July 16, 2023

We're having a MOO Cleanup Day on July 16th. This will be a day of the staff (with help from players here and there) cleaning up the MOO, updating things like SIC / TV ads, fixing typos, fixing critical bugs, updating the Wiki, and doing a bunch of other tasks that are important but don't need to be done regularly.

Please keep in mind there will be limited GM support that day as we'll be primarily focused on clean up.

In preparation, there are a few things you as players can do!

1. @review-cloth

2. if you have a hoard of gear, sell some of it that you don't need.

3. trash anything that is cheap or non-useful that you don't need

4. review your @description and @nakeds and make sure you have a reasonable length for stuff

5. keep an eye on Fix-It and help as you can

6. @typo any typos you haven't had a chance to log yet

-reduced the size of the MOO on disk by ~5 megabytes.

-recycled exactly 1000 objects (crazy that it was exact).

-refreshed our development MOO

-cleaned our admin bits & admin homes of misc stuff (good for rarity)

-clean up old puppet and service requests

-cleaned up drugs for sale to reduce the #

-cleaned up vehicles that have been sitting around for ages

-cleaned up various places that ICly collect gear

-identified heavily puppeted NPCs lacking enough facts and added them

-reviewed all NPC look places

-reviewed access to various locations

-reviewed payouts being made and employment

-cleaned up former admin inventories

-updated staff page

-updated credits

-cleaned up items dropped in coffins

-cleaned up items in $nothing

-checked all waypoints and updated some (how NPC pathing and taxis work)

-reviewed all 1000+ corified props and pruned ones no longer in use

-moved generics to their right home

and much more. MOO is very clean now!
