Club Membership Committee Nominations
Take place at the town hall

Hi All -

As part of our becoming a social club, we are implementing a player council. The details of this are still being hashed out to some degree but our current draft of the by laws reads:

"At this Town Hall Meeting, members of the Club Membership Committee shall be elected and any other proper business may be transacted, subject to the notice requirements of Section [Number] of these Bylaws. Club Membership will nominate up to twenty (20) members as candidates for the next session of the Club Membership Committee (hereinafter “the Committee”). Associate Members and Club Members active within the last thirty (30) days are eligible to be nominated to serve on the Committee. After a period of one (1) week, both Associate Members and Club Members will vote on nominated candidates and the top seven (7) candidates according to total vote accumulation will become the new Committee. The Committee will be seated with its members until the next Club Membership Committee vote takes place. The Committee is tasked with meeting at no less than three (3) times in six (6) months to vote on various Propositions to be presented to the Club Board of Directors."

We are still working on the wording but it boils down to, those at the Town Hall can nominate one person they believe should sit on the club membership committee. We will track who is nominated and then put out a blind vote (via Google Forms for now) that allows you to each vote on who you believe should sit on the committee. We are probably going to give the committee it's own channel in game so they can communicate. The members of the committee will be responsible for bringing proposals and requests to the attention of the admin, in between Town Halls.

This could be things like 'There is an issue X in the game and we believe it can be solved with Y.' or 'There is a serious code problem X that needs to be fixed because it is breaking the game'.

We want the players to have a voice in the things that are being worked on and talked about on the admin side and this is how we hope to do it. This committee may evolve over time as we figure out what works best and how to do it. So, keep this in mind! You have to be at the Town Hall in order to nominate someone.

There will be no special treatment of committee members, other than their ability to present the admin with proposals a few times between each Town Hall, which will hopefully keep us appraised of major issues and requests from the playerbase as a whole.
