That first song that plays in the sound track, is a beat my boy made.
That blows my fuckin' mind, because I don't know how whoever made it got ahold of it.
Hmm… I just noticed in the end it says the names of some of the soundtrack. Maybe he stole the beat. I'll kick his ass if he did.
Alright, I got ahold of the original track. It's not the same, its just curiously similar.

As to the soundtrack, what is clearly less important than the actual information being presented, there is a track listing at the end of the show.
Makes me wonder how many people watched the whole thing, or any of it at all…and how many of those people commented on it.
And I can tell you a good theory on what really happened.
Flight 77 was highjacked.
It was heading towards a military/government target.
The military shot it down.
The military shot a missile at the pentagon, or crashed a jet fighter, or a drone into the pentagon to cover the fact that the US military shot down a civilian plane.
It is all PR spin. you can rally people against terrorists that slam planes into things. But you have a damn hard time ralling people to support a government that shoots down domestic flights full of civilians, highjacked of not.
PR SPIN.
Yup.
I figured this out 12 minutes after I first heard the news. The first 5 minutes were spent laughing, the next 6 spent admiring the tactical significance of the move, and the last minute was spent wondering how hard it would be for the US government to fake it or cause it for political gain.
By 30 minutes I was already depressed over how the US would use it to make things worse.
By 5 hours I had a functioning solution to Global Terrorism that would be 90-95% effective, but would never be implimented.
By hour 8 I was over it, and just bitched about it being on my TV still.
Basically, you:
1) Feed the 'poor' nations.
2) Educate the 'poor' nations.
3) Give well paying, fair wage employment to the 'poor' nations.
People who are fed, educated, and in a decent job don't blow up airplanes on a regular basis. Those three elements lead to the one single thing that stops people from strapping on bombs. Self Respect.
See, easy as pie. You can never reduce terrorism to nothing, because as long as you belive in 'freedom of speech' and 'democracy' you have to allow dissident groups, and from those groups you may have a few who act in a destructive manner to society. Best you can hope for is 95% elimination of terrorism.
And Osama is the terrorist leader. If he was recruiting from a well educated, well fed, full of self respect populace the number of minions would be drastically reduced.
You see, your statement provides support to my theory on fixing the terrorist problem.
Has Osama strapped a bomb to himself? Has Osama flown any planes into buildings?
No.
Why? Because he is well educated, well fed, and has a great deal of self respect. He knows that he's got it not so bad in this world. Why would he blow himself up?
Take a look at the environment in which a lot of terrorist-like minions grow. They grow in long term refugee camps. They grow out of poverty plaugued areas. They come out of populations that are poorly educated.
Get rid of the minions, you get rid of the problem. TO get rid of the minions, you feed, clothe, employ, and engage the population base minions are drawn from.
As long as the mentality is 'cutting the head off the snake' or 'get the leader, get the terrorist cell' we will never see an end to terrorist activities. Though, of course, why would the kings and queens of the world want to solve terrorism? It makes a convienant sort of other to rally the masses behind. A lovely boogie man in the shadows, a big media blitzable item to mainline the collective concious of a nation, or nations.
Yup. It is in Halliburtons best intrest to have terrorists about.
For the most part Iga, you are correct. It would greatly help (never solve) many problems, including the fight against terrorism.
But many of the terrorists in the 9/11 attack were from middle-class families.
We had a large discussion today in class about how more and more terrorists are coming from educated middle-class families, a result of being over-educated, but under-employed, and very, very frustrated.
Just thought I'd throw that in.
The third leg of the tripod is missing.
The leg of self respect…and probably part of the leg of employment... Though I would say that a lot of the tension in middle class north america is simply cultural angst that is propigated by the mass consumerist society in which we live.
The buy be happy situation as it were. And the fact that the media is geared to make people depressed, and depressed people are easily swayed into doing horrid things.
Speaking of depressed, I have a way to make you all happy and full of joy! Just join up in my new religious group....we are all happy, and you can finally loose those feelings of angst you harbour...we have your salvation...today!
