heh. i'm planning on doing a 1 month off(or 2 if i save enough) thing in the summer... going to newyork... going to burningman... doin' the whole heave ho and road trip bonanza across the states. i've never been to chicago. i hear it's a city worth lookseeingn tho.

This way, I can sort of shop around. I may be putting you all in a hotel outside of Chicago, because it's cheaper. We're like 30 minutes from the city, though, so it's not like we're far.

To be honest, June works better for my bad self, but if it falls in July, so be it. I'll take time off from whatever crappy summer job I get.

I'm in. I'll be driving down. So, anyone from the Calgary/Edmonton/Alberta area, or anyone along the way to Chicago and within a reasonable detour from the route, speak up, you can hitch a ride with me in my Ford Tempo. I've got room for 3 more people. (Pitch in for gas shouldn't be too bad, bout $40.00 or so for the round trip.)

As per usual, my budget will be shoe-string. I'm an art student.

Ok, look. I'm making this a public reply, in case anyone else is considering not going because of some stupid OOC crap.

Mistakes were made, shit happens. People have conflicts between themselves, and that's a part of life.  I wouldn't ever tell you or anyone else they couldn't enjoy a MOO-wide party, just because of some dumb shit that happened (and especially over some dumb shit like this.). I wouldn't ever consider not /going/ to a MOO-wide party, just because someone I didn't like/had a conflict with was going to be there. We all co-exist in the MOO, I should hope we can all co-exist for 3 days at a party. If not, then no, you shouldn't attend.

Ok, guys, I need some serious help here… I'm kinda on my own planning it and I'm not the most organized person on earth.

I need to know what weekend in July everyone would be available to fly/drive/walk/bus/hitchhike/carpool/boat out here for MOObash. I'm trying to get some organized information here together, like the cost of hotel rooms and stuff like that. I also think if we get enough people we get a special rate at Six Flags Great America... And I'd like to look into it.

But I do need some solid input here. I need as many definite answers as I can get. I mean, it's not really all too worth all the planning for no one to show up, you know?  I'm really trying here though.

I may be able to get us a really good deal through a friend who works at a hotel.. Thing is, it's not exactly a five star hotel. It's not a run-down hole, either, but there's no pool, you might find a cigarette burn here and there, etc. If you'd rather pay for a better place, I'm looking into those, too. I just know we're all kinda broke these days, and the cheaper the better.
