Programming

I remember reading an old post that had some of the info im looking for, but I couldn't find it. I've been wanting to learn how to program for a MOO for awhile, and last night I decided was a good night to start, so I downloaded a server, and a database etc. and started messing around.. The programmers manual is ok, but its wicked technical for someone just starting, and most of the tutorials i've seen are all the same, creating objects, making them talk and such… I was wondering if anyone knew a good place with code I could look at, that was preferably commented... Any links to good tutorials etc would be apreciated. Thanks.

The best I can offer is the programming topic in our help system.

The metaverse page has the most information I've seen recently. Overall, I've never seen tutorials beyond the ones I've linked to in my years. The focus in textgames is on Muds because people can leverage knowledge of C and C++.

MOO definitely has good advantages too, it's just that C is so much more popular in general. It's only natural that people would rather do it :P

You could always get on lambda, where I'm sure there is someone who can point you in the right direction.
