Sindome on a time budget

Some jobs are far more viable for people with little actual time to play. For example, grid works, HR, corpsec, bartending. Definitely not journalism, fixing, medical duty, law enforcement.

Also, use gridmail, and gridphones and SIC to speed things up. Aim for one scene in person, prioritize. Organise your RP along the week.

And the main rule: don't bite more than you can chew.

My first year of SIndome was pretty time-heavy. And my first major plot lead to me losing sleep, because I didn't wanna let people down with plots and such, and keep things shifting; my advice is don't be a me.

If you only have time to fit a couple hours a day/week in, then do that. But try not to get overly involved in scenes that take too much of your time. Job wise, low-key jobs are definitely your choice. As Kuzco mentioned, and I'll second it specifically. Bartending jobs are one of the without a doubt easiest to do for someone on a time budget, especially if you're in one of the smaller, less frequented bars where PC staff are a rarity.

Lastly, don't really stress about how often you can play. As long as you play enough to enjoy the game, you're fine. As more time becomes available, branch out more. If time runs out again, constrict yourself that little. Playing actively isn't mandatory, but having fun is necessary. So play when you can and want to.

My advice is first, leave a @note so the admins know why things are as they are. When your schedule changes, this is important so they know what's up with you. Then you can pick one really good goal to go after!
You don't need a job in Withmore. 66% of the population is unemployed. Run some crates and hang out. Maybe rob someone if you get bored.
