and many others, but those make the top ones!
Did you know that in many of them, you can click on things in them and go to little extras or games?
That new Trogdor game is awesome!!!! I know someone that got to level 22!
Now, can you name all 11 game endings? I bet I can do at least 7, maybe 8 .
But I'll give you a chance to try first before I give em away...

Good luck finding the easter egg, it's a little tricky... Hell I'm gettin ready to start offering a prize for the first person who can get close to the right answer.

I saw the 11 endings, but I can only name a few of them, I think…Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Transylania, Mega Man I (maybe?), Super Mario Bros. 2, and the casino game (I know I have it somewhere, but can't find it and can't remember the name).
And YES, I DO have a WORKING, original NES!
1.
2. Castlevania (2, Simon's Quest)
3. Mega Man 2
4. Super Mario Brothers 2
5.
6.
7.
8. The Legend of Zelda (The second ending)
9. Metroid (With the Justin Bailey code)
10.
11.
Here's some hints:
1. Orinigal NES hit driving game. Can be found in the orinigal black book.
5. It's a sports game.
6. Port from a very popular arcade game at the time.
7. Sunsoft made this amazing classic, one of the best 10 video games for the NES ever.
10. Konami port of a popular top-down arcade shooter involving jeeps.
11. Noone's ever gonna get this one because the game took FOREVER to beat and most people lost all their lives trying to get the grappling hook working 7/8ths of the way through the game or on the final stage. Another classic, also avalible in the orinigal black book.
Any more guesses?

5. It's a sports game involving basketball.
6. Port from a very popular side scroller arcade game at the time about killing the undead.
7. Sunsoft made this amazing classic, one of the best 10 video games for the NES ever. The main charcater followed a radio-active frog into a hole, and entered another world where he found a really awesome tank-like vehicle.
11. A side scroller featuring a guy with a very short ranged spinning shield on a chain as a weapon.

My favorite ending ever was Bionic Commando. The game I fought the hardest to beat was Snake, Rattle, and Roll. The game I played the most was Contra. I beat it every single night, sometimes 3-4 times a night, for several years straight. It was just part of my nightly routine.
What's your favorite NES game/ending?
-Kevlar
We still have a working NES too. =P With lots of games…
Ever play Snake Rattle 'N Roll?
Battletoads?
Always loved Metroid...
Those were some fun ones
My tops are probably Crystalis, Super Mario Bros. 2 (unfortunately, I was too young at the time to realize why Shigeru Miyamoto puts so many damn 'shrooms in his games), Metal Gear, Mega Man 3, CastleVania II: Simon's Quest (I'm -still- waiting for Minibosses to do a metal cover of Bloody Tears...I mean that tune is screaming for it. Reminds me of Yngwie.), and Ninja Gaiden. Oh, and Gauntlet.....speaking of which, if anyone here has Get Medieval (the bossest Gauntlet remake), I'm looking for folks to play online with.
As for NES endings...that's a toughie. Maybe Strider.
But as for NES -intros-, Ninja Gaiden takes the cake. I can still here the music in my head...
If I'm gonna play with a console, it better damn well have proprietary -everything- and ultimately irritating and unnecessarly complex to develop for, that way the games just get better, instead of the system hardware being pushed to the limit at launch. I like that mystique.
this has to be said, my parents forbid me to play video games when i was growing up.
though, computer games, in their eyes where considered to be 'educational…
i'm still trying to figure that one out. ;)
however, since i'm all old and able to decide how to waste my time all by myself now, me and my bf recently bought a super nintendo at a garage sale for 12 bucks, it looks hardly used, both controlers.
we have a nintendo (wich needs to be smacked every so often), and a -none- working atari2600 wich i'm still trying to fix as well as a dead odessy(?) (wich i don't evn know -how- to fix, from his childhood.
the only games we have are mario brothers, lemmings and about 4 random copies of fucking DUCK HUNT.
i hate duck hunt.

Well, pfft. What do you prefer? Let me guess? Microsoft? You want to go play with a big piece of crap X-Box? Hah. What's better than good old Nintendo? =P
Feh, not at all. I've had occasional impulsive urges to buy a seX-box while browsing the latest games releases, but nah… I do have a PS2, but it largely gathers dust while acting as a convenient shelf for keys and assorted pocket debris. Talking historically, which seems to be the thread, I've never taken to consoles at all but would happily sing the praises of Commodore, from the Vic 20 I had as a kid, through the days of the 64, 128 and the glory days of the Amiga...
Murphy's last post about the X-box just about sums up my views of all consoles, dumbed down computers, the McDonalds of tech.
