I was wondering exactly how are ue points distributed. I read the help file and it said that one is given each day you log in and one every three hours. A few days ago I logged on and was on roughly seven hours and all I got was one point. I hope you can clear this up for me.

I think they'res some randomness built in, I've stayed logged on before for a full 24 hours and got no UE at all.
It happens, but not really that often that I can tell

actually sometimes it gives me more than the 3 hour rule. sometimes none. So I too was wondering about that. If Rigs is all messed up I don't think that that is actually very fair for people who don't get their share of UE.

Here is how UE works.
Sindome runs on PST, (Pacific Standard Time). At the time of 12, 3, 6, and 9 (both AM and PM), a UE will be given for anyone who was logged on during the session. IF you have not reached your quota for the day. So yes, you could be logged on for 7 hours and not recieve any if you have already gotten your alotted quota for the day.
As for not recieving any… I doubt thats the case, though we will look into it to make sure. Make sure that you haven't gotten your quota already that day.

Okay that was very informative, but I have one more question. What is the daily quota?

Wow. 2 or 3? I think you should be able to get more than that. It's taking me forever to build my character up. But I guess since that's all I can get I'll have to deal with it.

Well you should be happy to know Molo, that My char is slow also…due in part that I haven't been playing like I've wanted to until recently. So everybody's UE goes up slow. so it's a pretty even playing field.
But when you look at it, this is the most fair way to distribute UE, make it even and award for being on. Most other games give exp/UE for things killed, this isn't a h&s so people like my char would be SOL if that was the only way to gain EXP, and people like....Judges and Gangers(even though they're puppets) would have get massive ammounts of UE.

I understand that they distribute points based on log on time, but I thought it was based on -your- log in time. I didn't know that they were given at certain times. In my time zone I have to be on at 2, 5, 8, and 11. I don't know about the rest of you guys but I have a life outside the dome. This game is a very slow progression game and I understand that they don't want someone to be able to save up all their ue for like a week and then dump it all and become god-like, but based on my history my stats should be higher, but they aren't because there are so many different things that I should know, but can't raise due to lack of ue. Oh well I guess that just means I have to work harder.

The UE times (3, 6, 9, 12) are the scheduled times at which UE is given to anyone who has logged on in the previous 3 hours and hasn't already had 3 UE on the given day. Logging in for 1 second during any 3 hour time period is enough to get you 1 UE at the end of it.
UE is on a drip-feed because we don't -want- uber-characters within weeks of people starting to play. To be good takes -time- and effort, making the life of your character of value rather than something you can rebuild in a few days out of chargen.
You think you've got it bad? I had my player alt out a few days ago to test something I'd been modifying in movement. I went afk for a few moments and returned to find him sitting in limbo, killed by a fucknut who char-gen'd 5 times in 2 hours, killing several NPC's and when he died, re-genning and returning to the same NPC to finish it off. My player alt who is 2 years and 4 months old and who hadn't updated his clone since cloning was first coded. Now sure, it's my own fault for not updating, but hey, you think your 4 or 5 month old characters have got it bad? Every one of them could ass-rape my 'oldbie' alt…

No you've got it a bit wrong.
Those times Wren mentioned were times they're awarded. You dont' HAVE to be on WHEN they're awarded. If I log on at such and such a time, and the first awarding time isn't for a couple hours…then I'll get my UE then...not immediately. then if I'm on three hours after logging in...i'll get my next UE at the next awarding time. Some problem comes when you stay up real late and play...you gain some of your UE for the next day then. So if the next day you log in, and don't get any UE for that Day it's because you got it already.

You are fairly issued up to 3 UE a day for your time connected.
[admin]Lets not discuss this further, players have NO business knowing the mechanics of the game.[/admin]
