Being Pretty and Beyond?
How do?

So, something that is interesting about Sindome is that it does not allow for ugly characters with a high charisma stat. That is, as one's charisma rises then inevitably so does their appearance substat. You're going to continue to get prettier and prettier as that stat rises. What if you don't want to be pretty though? Why does being a manipulative and intimidating force in the shadows require you to look like David Bowie? The floor of the Withmore stock exchange must look like a convention of sex Gods and Goddesses.

So while people can be charismatic without pumping the charisma, and can just ICly be as charismatic as you feel like, you can't pump charisma without being pretty.

So how do you be pretty?

It's weird to ask, but people who have zero personality and rely entirely on looks alone exist… how do they do it? Like, what are roleplaying tips for being levels of attractive that society instinctually sets apart as being "the pretty people"?

And how should one react to hyper-pretty?

Does hyper-pretty even exists? Our stat system goes up to A being the peak of human possibility, but that is also accounting for cyberware and genetic augmentation. Like, is A representative of what human beauty can become today in 2024? What does that even look like? And what lies beyond that in the chrome enhanced world? How do you roleplay a character who is sailing beyond humanity into Uncanny Valley where human beings begin to instinctually see you as a threat? What's it like being someone who moves the straightest of people five degrees on the Kinsey scale?

And what point should we start roleplaying the idea that a person is attractive beyond what normal human beings are capable of? How should that look when you encounter people that are awe inspiring on a level of "BE NOT AFRAID"?

On the matter of how to 'become pretty', I usually put in roleplay and also @notes indicating that I'm using certain beauty routines, skin care, hair care, et cetera. I put more effort into my character's appearance work, basically. A lot of people who wouldn't be seen as pretty without makeup IRL, look amazing with makeup. So you can definitely do a lot.
Sorry for doublepost but no, you're not supposed to roleplay being very charismatic if you have very low charisma. Just like you're not supposed to roleplay someone with lots of knowledge if you have very low intellect.
Right. I'm not talking about how to "become pretty". That isn't the issue. @notes and everything explaining how your Charisma is rising.

But how do you BE pretty? Especially when you're tapping into levels of pretty that are tapping into Cyberpunk's transhumanism themes?

Like I said (perhaps poorly), if a player is charismatic they can play a low charisma character by just by not being charismatic. Just like low intelligence characters can be portrayed by high intelligence player as not smart.

The problem is that highly statted charisma characters are required to roleplay a pretty person. Possibly extending outside the realms of what humans consider natural attractiveness.

I can admit that I'm not a bad looking person, but I'm not one of "the pretty people". I do not have the life experiences that would lead to portraying someone with the looks of a Greek God made flesh. So I'm seeking advice on how to portray someone who IS pretty and knows how to BE pretty.

And then advice on transhumanism pretty past that?

Looking good is physical, so it's about your descriptions, not really how you play. Beyond confidence, if you want to RP that.
This is such an interesting question because it digs into the roleplay potential of *how* charisma and appearance interact in a cyberpunk world. Being "pretty" or attractive isn’t just about having symmetrical features or great skin, it’s also about the way someone carries themselves, the aura they exude, and the reactions they inspire.

For a character who’s tapping into “transhuman pretty,” I think the roleplay can lean into themes like awe, discomfort, or even the uncanny. Attractiveness beyond the human norm might inspire reactions like being entranced, intimidated, or unsettled. If you're at that level of beauty, it’s not just “Oh, they’re hot,” but more like, “I can’t stop staring, but I’m not sure if it’s admiration or fear.” Think of the phrase "too perfect to be real."

As for being pretty in the social sense, it’s often the small details that sell it: Effortless posture, the kind of presence that turns heads when entering a room. Subtle cues like always being composed, and calm, or using charming body language (a soft smile, intense eye contact). Playing into confidence. Whether it’s quiet, smug, or over-the-top, a character knows they’re pretty and acts like it.

When roleplaying hyper-attractive people, let your character expect certain reactions people fumbling for words, turning red, feeling a little inferior, or acting more accommodating without even realizing it. Beauty can be power, and how others respond to that beauty can make the experience feel more immersive.

For transhuman levels of pretty, think of “enhanced” details that blur the line between organic and artificial, skin too flawless, eyes too vibrant, proportions unnervingly ideal. It’s the sort of attractiveness that might make people say, "Something about them feels… off, but I can’t look away." Lean into those small unsettling details and how they contrast with human expectations.

At the end of the day, “being pretty” is about presence and perception, how you describe your character and how they react to the way others treat them. In a cyberpunk world, that presence can take on a whole new level that transcends humanity.
