I beg of you, please RP!

Things I'm =BEGGING= players to consider while playing.

1) the frickin city has 60million+ frickin people.  Alot of you out there play like there are only a hundred or so, which though sadly true IRL, isn't true IC'ly. So please the next time you "recodgnize" someone's appearance (without even looking at them, just seeing the name)   or their new alias on the grid, or even just realizing who slipped you the note, or called you, or stole from you.   Oh yes, and who can kick your ass.  if Withmore were real none of us fucks would be top fuckin dog, because there is never any top dog.  No matter how strong, or how fast or how big a gun or good of a fighter you are, there is always someone out there who is a better shot, or a hair faster, stronger, smarter, whatever.  I know it's in some people's nature to be arrogant, overconfidant, cocky whatever, but keep in mind that just because there may be few PC's who have the skills  you do that if twere real life you'd probibaly be getting knocked down a peg for talking shit to the wrong person in the Drome, on the streets or whatever.  Or bragging about what a toughguy you are.

2) YOUR FUCKING HEALTH LEVEL!!   I don't care if you've played the game 2 weeks or 2 years this is something that should be painfully evident(no pun intended)  If your wounded RPit goddamnit.   If your Critically injured and above death's door then you should be crawling, being carried, hobbleing, and acting all fucked up.  I know I shouldn't have to rant about this but mutherfuckers do this all the time.

IMHO some players are more interested in stats then auctial RP.  Think about your character, does he have real personality is it someone you could meet in real life with depth, emotion, feelings, thoughts other than Kill <whoever>?

/rant.     Damnit.

Wheee!
Funny, I know people who'd say the same shit about you. If you have any problems with people not acting Icly with any of the above mentioned problems, I believe you can xhelp the admin and point it to there attention.

EDIT: That was to jotun.

Hey, If anyone thinks this about me PLEASE  bring it to my attention.    There are plenty of ways to get ahold of me out there.  the easiest of which is to message this account.
Edit: And I'm more than happy to listen to constructive critizem if brought to my attention in an adult way.  Hell, most of you out there already have my AIM name, You included tool (The irony of your name revealeds it's head once again).  And if you don't have it, just check my profile, you'll find that IRL I'm a pretty nice, agreeable person.

There really is no need to turn this into a "He said she said". I've seen people walking around, jokeing, laughing, and carrying on after they've had their mouth on the pavement. And you know what? I've done it too. Like Jotun said, it isn't just newbies, it is also midbies, oldbies, koolbiew, hoobiews, whateverbies. Since I've got my last two or three chars, I've been putting major thought into how they should be acting and all that fun stuff, and how to incorporate ambient population into that. I'm pretty sure I've bitched about it on the Bgbb before too.

Besides myself, I'm not gonna name  names. But I think more self-policeing is needed by the players. And if you see someone walking around smileing and trotting about after just takeing two .380 rounds to the face, call them on it. Or an admin. Or whoever you're supposed to talk to.blah.

Amen brotha', amen.

'nuff said.

Likewise:

Don't be surprised if people RP you like you're acting, it may end up very poorly at times.

For instance, a char questioning someone because of their skill. They're going to assume they are well trained in general. Period. That could -also- get you into trouble, someone may see someone whose skilled and handle it how they would. So don't RP yourself skilled if you aren't… health if you aren't... and another thing... if your character is drunk/high/stoned/not in their right mind... THEY ARE GOING TO NOT CARE ABOUT SHIT! Especially remembering -not- to tell anyone that Joe Blow paid them to not tell anyone he killed Sally Sue.

If you are under the influence, please RP it accordingly... this isn't a blanket attack at anyone, its an annoyance that someone could RP someone acting physically wacked... and then when they are getting pumped for intel, they immediately sober up mentally. Not IC.

"THEY ARE GOING TO NOT CARE ABOUT SHIT! Especially remembering -not- to tell anyone that Joe Blow paid them to not tell anyone he killed Sally Sue. "

That's not really fair. Not everyone is black and white, I get drunk, you ask me question I have to answer.

For example. I was drunk last night. This guy called our hangout wanting to know who egged his car.

Guy: "So <name> says you egged my car, that true?
Me: Uhhh, nah man, nah, shit call waiting.
Hang up.

See, even idiots like me are still kinda alert when they're hammered.

If i'm drunk I am more likely to lie.  And do it well, since I just don't care at that point.
Generally speaking, we're all a bunch of deranged bastards. Deal with it. I couldn't see why anyone wouldn't be trying to rp to there best ability. Granted, sometimes we're tired…sometimes we forget...sometimes we're right on the money. Focus on the good stuff, fuck the bad stuff. Who is to say how anyone elses character should be acting at any given time. Granted, a friendly reminder informing you that you've eaten four sheets of NA, snorted five grams of MRC, and your lungs are coming out of your ass can be usefull.
"fuck the bad stuff. "

That would be ok if the good stuff was more frequent then the bad stuff. Whenever I get into RP with people, it seems everytime people ignore ambient population, health, whatever else there is to complain about.
