can new chars be from within the dome or are they relegated only to the tiny, leetle, itsy bitsy polka dot bikini….. torrent... of new immigrants?

i figured there's no real way they can be from within the dome since everyone has to pass through the checkpoint and gates.... but i'm still wondering if there is a way?

Good question, Bias…I really hope so. Really.
Kinda would suck if players are limited in their character choice because of something so totally out of their control.
There are ways to deal with it and still have great characters, of course...but it would be nice to have new char who can say they've been around Red longer than some of the 'oldbies', sortof like levelling the playing field. Would encourage non-stat-based RP, neh?

The problem of course is that new characters are supposed to have no working knowledge of the IC world. Having a character who knows all the characters you played with as your last character is a HUGE advantage.

Now, if you can somehow explain the trip through the immigration control and not understand that you are coming to the city anew, well, lets not be mean about it. :)

We really try to filter these kinds of characters out during char-gen, but if a history makes sense and won't suppose unbalanced resources and/or knowledge, it might just get approved.
