WE NEED HELP!

Ok, we have a problem.

Kaial and I have networked our computers together, and share an internet connection by using AnalogX Proxy. So far, everything works. We even downloaded SOCK4 so that she can run AIM.

Problem: We can't seem to run pueblo on the proxy. It can't connect. So, we need help.. If anyone knows how to fix it, or knows of a client that works well with a proxy, PLEASE let me know. PRETTY PRETTY Please. Thanks. :)

Use internet connection sharing with windows 2000/98/xp. Will probably work better.

Actually, we tried that.

The problem is, we can't use ICS because Kaial's computer is running Win98, instead of Win98se, which -really- sucks. So, we're forced into either doing this, or buying a router.. Since we're both broke, we're stuck.

I play through a SOCKS proxy on two of my computers. In Pueblo, there is a preferences section under Edit at the top menu on your opening screen. Go to preferences and select the Proxies tab. Then you have to click the "Use the following proxies" option. Select Socks proxy and then you need to enter your proxy address (8 digit number) and the port number. I don't know exactly how to obtain this information, but I'm sure it's listed somewhere if you look at your SOCKS thing. Once you've configured Pueblo, you should be able to get on SD from the other computer.

You may experience some oddities. For example, when I play Pueblo from one of the computers that use the network, I experience a one-minute delay before Pueblo will accept any input, which means your character is sitting there and people talk to you but you can't respond until the little thing in the lower right screen says you've been online 1 minute. It's consistently one minute every time and I don't know why that is, but oh well, at least I can play the game.

Hope this has helped and good luck.

MuckClient also uses proxies, that's what I use for the same reason.

I think that's it if you're interested.
