I think this post will beinifit for the recent boost of noobs we've gotten here.
I dunno maybe it's just me but it seems like all they do is come on and socialize in the bar and whatnot. Nothing major. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not, but moving on.

I know alot of people don't come into sd with a criminal background, a select few of us did. This probably explains why you guys are so trusting and not aggressive in making that paper, therfore someone needs to roll up and tell them whats up (Gm's part)

So, being the bored topsider that I am, I'd just like to throw out there that there are enough of you to band together and walk all over certain players in the mix.

Think about it. 3 noobs. Arm them all with either a PPK or a seb. Go out and rob all the corner stores (With GM's on) and go out and boost some PC's for their gear and chyen. Yes, you will piss people off, but hey, this isn't Friend moo. Eventually you will all have alot of chyen and gear, probably get noticed by some higher ups (This can be good and bad) and you might be the next king of the mix after you screw your origional crew over.

Just an idea. I'd like to hear/see more shit blowing up and going down

You're just a bored Judge. :P Maybe the criminalz are doing a better job beaning zneaky zneaky!
*zneaks*

I would love to see some new faces on the crime scene. Socializing newbs are fun, but to get into the game you have to do more then just talk about where you're from for ever. (not directed at anyone in particular, we all do it) And let's face it, if you aren't in the crime scene somehow what are you doing? Being a straight corp? That's no fun, and.. there is no straight mixer so…

Yeah. Doubt it. :P

You know, we call them 'mixers' not 'criminals' or 'violent greedy morons' for a reason. Not everyone is a criminal, especially by the standards of Withmore City.

Not every person working every night as a bartender is pushing info for money or selling drugs on the side. Not everyone is leading or running with a gang, though some people seem to think that's what one should be doing. Not everyone is a thief.

Cyberpunk doesn't mean gritty futuristic crime. That's a large element, but really. Deckard in Blade Runner was hardly a criminal, he was actually working on the side of the law (for the most part), but certainly wasn't killed in sight the moment he stepped onto the street, that was his life too.

For a city like Withmore, in this kind of game, every type should be expected, and welcomed. If I want to create a character that runs a noodle stand because I enjoy the theme of the world and interacting with the characters but get bored with creating another character destined to regurgitate 'chum' and other boring-ass 'cyberpunk speak' while slugging lead with gangers night after night, how is that wrong?

Freedom in the world. Complexity, variety. If you want to 'help the n00bz', narrowing their minds for them when you admittedly don't even know for sure what they're doing with their characters is a bad start.

'If they're not in the crime scene what are they doing…'

I don't know, perhaps all of the interesting things you've never broadened your horizons to think of having your character do? Such a paragon of depth, yeah?

*golf clap*

It was merly a suggestion for people who want to get into the criminal element of the game but really have no idea where to start. I run into those alot.

Nice rant, though.

*applauds*  I too must say, bravo sir…bravo.
Well i thought a while back there were to 'many' player criminals and when someone says there arent enough I guess it gives some ppl some insperation.
