I've attempted, on two separate occasions, to craft a three-piece suit consisting of slacks, a waistcoat/vest, and a suit jacket, and I ran into a very unfortunate layering issue. It seems that regardless of how the vest is named (i.e. 'waistcoat', 'vest', 'gilet', 'jerkin', 'doublet', 'cummerbund') that the game identifies a waistcoat as belonging *under* the dress shirt. I tried everything I could, and burned through an entire bolt of clothing trying different alterations to the name and coverage, and nothing seemed to work. What did work was naming the vest a 'jacket', and that allowed it to go over the dress shirt and under the actual suit jacket... but it just seemed silly wearing two jackets.
From what I was able to identify in 'help tailoring', a vest or waistcoat could be considered a second-layer item, between a shirt (layer 1) and a jacket (layer 3). That is, with my limited understanding of the mechanics in-place.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd love some pointers. I can't be the first person in all of Sindome History to create a three-piece suit with proper layers and names. I worked on this project IC with a highly-skilled tailor's assistance and even they couldn't work it out. If this isn't implemented, I'd love if it could be... I love formal/corporate attire and this would be immensely helpful.
Thanks, ahead, for any input.
