Appearance Adjective(s) rework
Getting clothing and shortdesc in line...

Recently, skills and stats have been reworked to follow an A-U model. This has been an absolute blessing for assessing where one is in their skills. I would propose that the various skill-checked appearance modifiers be reworked to be in line with this.

Something like...

tailoring Quality i.e. 'Bespoke' (Best to worst)

Aristocratic

Bespoke

Custom

Dapper

Elegant

Fashionable

Great

Haute

tailoring style i.e' 'Trendy' (Best to worst)

All the rage

Bleeding edge

Current

Dashing

Exclusive

Fitting

Glitzy

Hip

Material quality i.e. 'Posh' (Best to worst)

Absonant

Boujee

Costly

Deluxe

Expensive

Fancy

Good-quality

High-priced

Character appearance i.e. 'Attractive' (Best to Worst)

Alluring

Beguiling

Captivating

Desireable

Enchanting

Fetching

Glamorous

Hot

I don't think you should mess with the appearance descriptors. They already have an established hierarchy, and just trying to make up words to fit a certain order means the words you're choosing are less precise.
Not feeling it tbh
My sense was that the CHA shortdescs were intended to alternate between APP-ish and CHM-ish descriptors, and there are some in the middle that (in my opinion) sound less attractive than the ones that came before them (which I think is borne out by how many characters use either the first two or the last two and how few there are in the middle range)...

...but those shortdescs are fixed and as prominent as a character's name. While I would love to see some customization or variation of choice in those shortdescs, just remixing them 1:1 with new terms will often mean players now have a leading descriptor on their character they may never have intended, or wanted to have, and any change will likely leave at least some people unhappy with the outcomes.

I'll admit I don't know what the order of the current adjectives is or how "posh" or whatever is chosen, etc.

But I like Bougie.

Jumping off 0x1mm's point, if there were "sets" that you could choose from where you had your choice of, say, five words, then I'd give that a hearty thumbs-up.

Like, an "Average" set that included, for example, Average, Middling, Basic, Plain, and Ordinary. You choose one in that level to be.

Then you can finally be a Basic Bitch wearing a thrasher tee.

Maybe roll it into 'appear'? It's already set up for presenting options based on skill/stat levels.

But yeah, it would be a matter of choosing the right available adjectives for each appearance tier.

Heck, someone should be able to 'appear' LESS attractive if they want/try to. Whether disguise skill should be required for that? I donno, maybe.

There's @holdback for that, beandip. 😊
Being able to select from a menu of adjectives would be so awesome.
I don't really see nerfing my appearance adjective with @holdback as being very useful if it simultaneously nerfs my disguise skill.
