Bahtendahs

So it would be nice if the bartenders would tell you the day and shit when you asked. Would make sense for them to do that sort of thing..

yep..that's all.

There's clocks in most of the bars but yesh…I'z would fancy dis.
^^ I've only seen a clock in one bar. :P
Tool… don't make any more posts... you're at an even number.

Just stay right... there...

*backs away slowly*

Clocks aside,
Wouldn't it be great if Bartenders or certain NPCs acted as 'eyes' in the city? Based on your standing with them, or your charisma or something, or just for shits and giggles, Joe Bartender spills the beans on a conversation or on the people that just were in the bar. Or the bum you pay on the street corner tells you about something he's seen, maybe it's good, maybe it's not.
Hmm. I wonder if NPCs log what they see, and GMs get to read it?
The problem with NPCs telling you who they've just seen is that what would say the NPC knows your name.  Sure, we could assume that Tristan knows the names of almost everyone that comes in the bar.. but.. what names would he know?  The name you see when you look at a person?  That is just a place holder.  It means nothing.  I know several characters that don't go by the name that shows up when they enter a room.  I know one character in particular that has NEVER told anyone the name that he entered during chargen.  Never.  So, would Tristan say, "Oh, Snake was just here."  Or "Seven was just here" or "Ecks was just here"  that would be the hard part.  We would have to go through and setup each person with the alias that they go by and that would be time consuming.  It might be possible to set it up so it gives a description of the person that was just there based on there heritage, and height, and maybe there @Nakeds, but not everyone sets nakeds, and then if they do, it could be covered up.  I think NPC bartenders do tell you roughly how many people have been in the bar recently if you ask the right question though..

One, that still doesn't seem to stop people from saying the name that shows up when he enters the room.  Punks.  I know its supposed to be an honor system, but everyone just says, "Oh, someone else told me that your name was Batman, so I'm calling you Batman even though you go by Superman and have never called yourself Batman in your life."

And two, I've always thought that having corpses and such described as being of 'American' or 'Canadian' or 'German' heritage as being pretty wack.  I think there is no way that you can just look at someone and determine what nationality they are.  How can someone go about looking 'American'?  I mean, you can look at someone and say ,they are of Caucasian, Asian, African, or Latin heritage, sure, but specific countries?  Naw

backed

@corpse_desc me is "a great idea."

Meh, yeah life isn't fucking fair. Twinks will be twinks and bitches will bitch. So the game isn't either. Just deal with it, come prepared and if you don't be ready next time.

You wanna be an Icon, a peice of slag, or another joeboy?

Choose wisely…

I've seen games with complex identity code, honestly, its a fucking chastity belt.

There's no point hiding with alias' when you do something people are gonna find out one way or another. Just do it with soOo much damn style they have no choice but to do it behind closed doors.

How's business?

Bartenders talk more then meatpuppets. Invest in some fucking charisma, maybe a gm will appreciate that...maybe...

There was a time when all you had to do was toss some chy and start asking questions, and a GM might give you some answers….
