I didn't like that the knowledge learned in the old Library was random.
Would there be a way to have a 'classroom' where the teacher would sit and jabber at you (in actuality would be giving you IC knowledge of how the skill would be used) and you earn fractions of UE in those skills? Classes lasted an hour and then the bell would ring and you'd be 'kicked out'.
And perhaps as a side affect, the time spent in school would raise your intelligence. I wonder if 'tests' could be simulated through code. Not actual tests where the player has to know stuff…but based on intelligence and the ammount of UE in a skill...you could take a test and eventually earn your degree or something to hang on your wall. Doctors/electricians/chemists etc could get their certificates and some Jobs could require a degree in something.
Perhaps the only way to get a corporate job would be to get a degree and it'd be tough for someone to get. Perhaps take like an actual Year of classes. WHich yes seems like impossible, but that's where the reward comes in, sticking with it...and then Corporate jobs could pay a lot more because people took a year to devote to it...
(now that is if they don't get themselves a huge criminal record in that year)
But yeah. There's $1.73 i guess...
