An 'ambush' command. If someone enters the room and they are set on 'go', then they will leave and both of you are stuck in combat. Lets say Casey is gonna ambush Devon. Devon walks in, ambush cancels his 'go', and Casey attacks him. *shrugs*

I think I like this idea.

Wow, someone likes an idea of mine….
*Ambush auto-hides you.
*If you try and move it can either say something like 'Your waiting in ambush, are you sure you want to give yourself away?'

I like it to…
but couldn't you just hide in a room, waiting, gun out, and when Devon enters come out firing? Getting that first shot in before him?

You could, but the point is 'go w w w s s e e etc' would mean it was a matter of sitting and waiting for that exact second to type 'attack billybob'.
I like the idea also and it will probably be coded -if-/when Neo fixes/alters 'go'. So, hassle Neo to implement his planned changes to the movement system otherwise ambush is impossible to code.

Yeah, bug me about it. Um…Damon and I have both looked at the 'go' command. Its going to take alot more than a simple change, so it will probably take a bit before it gets done. Actually, and ambush command might be possible before the changes since the MOO still has to use :enterfunc for everytime a person enters a room, and if you auto attack the person shouldn't be able to leave while in combat. I may be wrong. I'll have to look at it.

While dinking with 'go' last night, I may have come up with a solution that might work with it. I don't know when I'll have time to try it out. Coding while on the road just isn't a whole lot of fun.
