I think you should be able to inject -other- people with injectable drugs, or slip powders into their drinks. That said, we need more drugs!

Oh..um..yeah..way cool. I think it could add to RP, being able to put together thick plots against people…yep..there's my 2 cents

It would also be nice if someone took ten minutes and fixed the messages and descriptions on some of the current drugs so that they make more sense.

wooo! injecting and feeding other people drugs…
i'm thinking that an initial reaction once a drug is administered would be cool...
hrm this is geared towards those that actually understand scripting... maybe it could be like those 'daydream/nightmare' scripts? -could- something like that be possible with the scripting going on? if it's treated like a 'daydream'... the trigger being an emote using a specific sequence of words? or am i off my sleep deprived rocker? once the scripts over you RP as if that drug is still effecting you
or you could just RP the whole thing? :P
.giggle cheerfully as i .stab bob the goat ninjas thigh with a syringe full of glowing green liquid.

You can sort of drug other people already with the right piece of equipment, y'know. Don't know how available that doohickey is though.

Yes I am, and getting dumber. This thread just dropped my IQ about ten points. Did someone inject me with a stupid serum?

.envision all sorts of 'effects' scripts, until the victim…
falls asleep
dies
goes temporarily psychotic
loses thier memory
becomes paralyzed
becomes really mellow.
Some could be pure RP, like the psychosis, the memory, and the mellow.
tell the %player "As you move your hand, a rainbow trail of colors follow it, is that harp music you hear?"
force the %player ".slowly wave my hand infront of my face and appear to be looking at something just behind my hand."
force the %player ".smile dreamily with heavily lidded eyes."
Some not, like the sleep, death and (eventually) paralysis.
*sigh*
.look around
.grin mischeviously
shout "Hey, you! C'mere! I wanna try something!"
.run after the ambient population cackling insanely.

Very nice. The memory could be done by changing one's memorized word to a randomly selected one from several, or by scrambling it, which is nice for door codes…which would not give people an excuse when there character still remember's how to get to their cube etc, even though they're meant to have lost their memory. :)
Has this just been implictly assumed, but a persons conidition message would be changed right? Something like, %N looks totally out of it, with eyes and body swaying with a reverse interia to %p movement.

Sounds like this stuff would be real fun to experiment with. Very useful too I might add. Just one question though, How long would it be before it was implemented, if it was??

Only problem with that is that your average hardcore SD player remembers his/her IC cube/locker/apartment codes and phone numbers IRL if they've had 'em long enough.
The only solution to this is to get stoned off your ass if your character does. Which may be a good bit of fun.

Yeah I realise that Murphy. What I mean is that that will indicate to the player what their character should remember, and so if they don't conform to that possibly scrambled code, which is meant to reflect the characters memory, an admin can come and kick their arse ;).

Well, what they should remember is pretty subjective. If you just rented your cube a few days ago, and you change every week or so and you get hammered, then yes, you'll forget your codes. But if you've had the same code for five months, stoned or not, you probably won't forget it.

I'll agree with Murph on the memory thingie…..I can be as stoned as I've ever been in my life, and I'll still remember my phone number, and the code for the alarm when I get in the door, and all kinds of numbers. Only because I've used them continuously for it seems like eternity though.. I'm sure If I got a new cell phone or something and was at the bar with some friends, stoned out of my mind, which is pretty regular for me I might add, I'm almost positive I wouldn't be able to give that number to a chick at the bar that night, I don't care how hot she was....... Memory is a funny thing, especially when you mix it all up with drugs and such....hehe anyways.......here I am rambling again...thats my cue to shut up..

See man, that's why some people put their cell numbers in their phones, some will tell it to you when you turn the damn thing on even. But other that that, Murf is very right on drugs and memory.
Man, it's been a while since I posted. wow.
