Forgetting Skills
Character development!

Why not let people forget stats and skills at any level? Just let them gradually refund experience from them (perhaps less UE than you're allowed to invest in a day), allowing characters to evolve more as time goes on without necessarily resulting in god-tier characters that not having a UE limit would bring about. I've thought it over and I really don't see any reason not to do this.

It would also help with the kind of awkward RP that comes about when skills are discussed IC, and some max-UE character has to find some way to explain that they can't learn how to do something because they've… lived here too long?

Already made a post on this following the Town Hall meeting, but I'm wit'chu! I think that even if it just drops 1 UE a day, so it takes exponentially longer to forget a skill than it does to acquire it the higher you are into the curve, this could allow for some late-game changes. Only skills of course - stats would remain unaffected IMHO, so if those points you forget don't get used for skills but for stats instead? They're permanently locked… but being able to diminish skills to a desired level and free up a few UE here & there would be nice.
Please use the old thread and search before you make new posts.

Ehh, I disagree a little bit on that point. You should be able to forget stats too. People get lazy, stop working out, huff aerosols, all kinds of things that would result in you "forgetting" stats over time.

e: oh whoops my bad
